11 Reasons Why You MUST Watch "UnREAL"
SBS

You may agree with me when I say that Lifetime sucks. I am tired of the repetitive plots and bad acting in the movies. I am also sick of men always being the predators and being seen as completely evil. For some reason, when the woman is the predator, her excuse is usually her having daddy issues or that she has a mental illness. Here is a series that not only changes the cliche bad guy, it also takes you to a world of corruption and revives Lifetime. Here are the 11 reasons you MUST watch "UnREAL."

1. The plot is AMAZING (IMO).

It gives you a lot from behind the scenes of this fictional TV show called "Everlasting," where male suitors choose which woman they want to share their lives with in the end. But of course, this isn’t easily done, for within the group of women, the cast, and the suitor, there are mental disorders, memories of tragedies, physical drawbacks and a lot of drama coming from corrupt minds who use these weaknesses as viewer bait.

2. It is relatable.

The characters are so real and relatable that oftentimes you would think, “What would I do if I worked there?,” or, “How would I handle Quinn?” They may have a different and bigger job than most of us, but the emotions and feelings are real. You will curse at your television or computer when you see this show, and each episode gets better and better.

3. The acting does not suck.

Do I really have to explain this further? How often does Lifetime have great acting?

4. You will get angry at the characters.

The characters are all conflicting with themselves and one another. You will see people manipulate and get manipulated. You will see characters do unbelievable things that will make you belt out a heartfelt, “F*ck you,” and, “I'm'a slap that bitch!”

5. There are a lot of characters to choose from.

Each season contains a suitor with at least 20 girls, then there are the 10 people who work behind the scenes. You can choose your favorite or you can take your time and analyze a lot of people.

6. There is always DRAMA.

Two words: Corrupt people. The world is full of corruption but seeing it focused in a small space and within a small amount of time is enough to keep you interested every...single...WEEK!

7. Lots of romance.

Whether it is real or fake, there is romance between the suitors and the women, within the crew, and sometimes between the suitors and the crew. Sounds kind of real even though it is “UnREAL,” right?

8. It may be the best thing on Lifetime next to "Devious Maids."

Now that I think about it, IT IS! So much drama and more drama to come, do not expect anything!

9. "Something unbelievable every week."

You will never guess what happens next and you will not always know how to solve the issue. Just watch the crazy world unfold in front of you and clutch your remote tightly, because some of the decisions made will scare you.

10. It is like watching behind the scenes and the TV show all at the same time.

It is basically the best of both worlds. You have front-row seats to the chaos, on set and off. Brace yourself for a crazy ride!

11. It only takes up one hour of your time.

You have 24 hours in a day; use them wisely. It is short, but once an episode ends, you will be fiending for the next one. If you are lucky and you haven’t started the show, have fun binge watching the 10 episodes of Season 1, and join the fans at Season 2’s five episodes! That is 15 hours, or, you can watch one episode a day. It doesn’t really matter, but you will be addicted!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
