Why I Will Never Be "Too Old" For Disney

Why I Will Never Be "Too Old" For Disney

Growing up, most children watch Disney movies and often go to Disney for vacations. But as you start to grow older, people begin to say that Disney is "just for kids." Some may even call you immature or childish for even mentioning your love for Disney. But I will never be "too old" for Disney and without Disney I wouldn't be who I am today. These are just a few reasons why I will never be "too old" for Disney.

1. Disney taught me to always be kind.

No matter how people treat you, always be kind. In the end, kindness will always lead to your happiness. Stay true to yourself and don't let others bring you down.

2. Disney taught me to always believe.

Sometimes believing can be very difficult, but without belief, you won't be able to grow. Sometimes believing in the impossible can also help you believe in yourself.

3. Disney taught me to be nice to every living creature.

Being nice to other people is one thing, but you should always be nice to every living creature. Every animal and plant has life and is important. Treat everyone and everything with respect and with love.

4. Disney taught me that family never gets left behind.

You may not always get along with your family, but they love you unconditionally and always will. Even if it seems like they aren't there for you, then they are always rooting for you and will always be there for you when you need them.

5. Disney taught me that first impressions may not always be correct.

Sometimes you meet someone that you think is the best person in the world, only to be hurt in the end. But the person you'd least expect will be the one to be there for you for the rest of your life. Take time to get to know people. Sometimes the first couple of weeks of meeting someone can be completely different of being with them for two years.

6. Disney taught me that love is never impossible.

Love may be difficult, but it is never impossible. You just have to be open and willing to find love, and you may find it in the most unexpected places. There is love for everyone, don't give up on love.

7. Disney taught me that adventure is out there.

Everyday is a new adventure. All you have to do is get up and go explore. You never know what new adventures are in store for you if you stay inside all your life. Go out, meet new people and try new things.

8. Disney taught me to never grow up.

Although we have no control over getting older, we can stay young in our mind. We are as old as we let ourselves believe. Age can just be a number if you let it. Stay young and live every day to the fullest.

9. Disney taught me to be honest.

Honest is the best policy. If people can't trust you, then why would they want to be around you? Be that person people can rely on. Tell the truth. Be reliable.

10. Disney taught me not to stress.

Sometimes you just need to relax. Everything will eventually work itself out, but if you keep stressing yourself out, then things will only get worse. Surround yourself with good friends and learn not to stress.

11. Disney taught me to not run from my problems.

Messing up is part of life and makes us human. However, don't run from your problems. That will only make matters worse. Take responsibility and learn from your mistakes. This is how we grow and learn to not make the same mistakes.

12. Disney taught me that being different is OK.

We are all different and that's how we were made. It's OK to be different and to be unique. That's what makes you special and one of a kind. Never change who you are because you are afraid of being different.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
