Astrology is an ancient pseudoscience that conjures the idea that everything in the universe, liquids, gases, solids, meteors, nuclear fusion, and outer-spacial alignment, all pay tribute to the situations individual beings experience on Earth, including money, sex, relationships, emotions, personalities, and jobs. This sounds a little ridiculous, yet, we are all still infatuated by our constellations, signs, and horoscopes. Because they are our tiny little birthday gifts from the universe, and that’s pretty rad.
The real fascination with the zodiac is much more habitual than just the beauty of a sign’s asterism. Horoscopes are addicting, I know, I check mine every morning. As humans, we love the fact that we can read our daily horoscope and find hope for what the day holds. This little, ambiguous glimpse into your future, provided by the sway of the planets, is capable of affecting your aura and mood, and in correlation, really does dictate your day. You find yourself looking forward to where the moon is aligned, and whether or not it’s in your romance sector.
Horoscopes often drop little hints about family, messages you’ll be receiving, or advise against spending money. Your horoscope may give an eye a bit of a crazy twinge when it provides intel about your crush, or a party that you could make monumental. However, I think we can all agree that it is even better when your horoscope says to “spend a lot of time in bed,” and after hours of missed productivity, you can rest on your laurels and say, “it’s in the stars.” On the other hand, as curious, or rather nosey, as our species is, we also use the signs chronologically to learn our fates. At first, it’s just about knowing your sign's aesthetic and what that means about you and your personality, but then this amazing thing happens where you realize just how big of an opportunity zodiac signs really are. Just by knowing someone's birthday, you can potentially learn so much more. There are so many “Signs as…” memes out there providing the vague essence of everyone.
And let's not forget sign compatibility charts!
For those skeptics out there, the accuracy of the stars can be tested by knowing you and knowing your sign. Have you ever read something about you sign and thought, “True lol,” or “That’s so me"? Then what are the odds that the next sign reads the same meme and also agrees in some sign specific variation of “True lol?” Obviously, this is not 100 percent accurate, but my answer is: it’s in the stars.
