Why Traveling With Your Best Friend Is The Best

Nothing beats traveling to new place to meet new people, try new things, and learn a new culture. But when you travel with your best friend, everything is just better. You always have someone to do something with and you will never be alone in a different country. Here are just some reasons why traveling with your best friend is the best.

1. You are going somewhere different with someone just like you.

Going somewhere different can be scary. it could be a different country with a different language, or this could just be your first time leaving the country. Going with your best friend will make this process much easier. Traveling can get stressful, but your best friend helps make it less stressful.

2. There really is no arguing on what to do, because you guys want to do everything together.

Being basically the same person, arguing is seldom to nonexistent. You make lists of things to do and cross them out as you go. Every day is an adventure with your best friend, so just imagine what it would be like in another country.

3. They will be there to help you when it comes to spending.

Your best friend will be honest with you and tell you what to spend on. It is easier to split things and save money. Splurging is easier when you are alone, but with your best friend, it is easier to save money to spend on more important things.

4. Your Instagram will boom with artsy pictures of you.

If your best friend is like mine, then they will always be there to capture the moment and get you at your best angle. It cuts out the awkwardness of asking a stranger to take a picture of you. Once they take a picture of you, remember to always reciprocate and become their personal photographer too.

5. Double the outfit possibilities.

Don't like the outfit you are wearing? Ask your best friend if you can borrow something. Don't like what they are wearing? Tell them to take a look through your stuff. You two will always be looking on point and all you have to remember is that sharing is caring.

6. You will always have someone there for you.

Feeling a little homesick? All you have to do is look at your best friend, because they are like a little piece of home. It is okay to be homesick, because your best friend might be too. They are there for you through thick and thin because they are your best friend.

7. You can always be yourself.

There is no need to fake who you are in front of new people to look cool. You can always be yourself around your best friend, and that's why you love them.

8. You get to know them even better.

If you think you know everything that there is to know about your best friend, then you are wrong. Traveling with your best friend is when you really get to know everything about them. You get to know more about the little things, why they don't like this and that, etc.

9. You will always feel safer because there is someone with you.

Being alone in a different city can be intimidating, and you probably wouldn't feel the safest. But being with your best friend can make you feel safer and will probably make your parents happier, because that means you are always going out with a partner.

10. You will create memories that will last a lifetime.

Trust me, if you travel somewhere with your best friend, it will be one of the best moments of your life. It will be a trip you will never forget.

I wrote this while studying abroad with my best friend Samantha in Argentina. I can personally tell you that traveling with your best friend is truly a priceless experience.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
