Once again, the cold, dreary days of winter have ended and the season of warmer temperatures, budding flower, and pastels has arrived! So, even though the long school year is beginning to wrap up, go on a long walk outside, ride a bike or toss a frisbee because spring, after a long winter, is the best.
1. Warmer temperatures
After a long winter of scarves and coats, being able to go outside in shorts and a tee shirt is a bit of relief.
2. Budding flowers
Everyone can't help but notice the return of flowers of all sorts bloom everywhere-sidewalk cracks, rolling field and bouquets outside the grocery store.
3. Spring break
Following a week of hell (er, midterms), spring break is the much awaited/needed break from school and stress with students everywhere flocking across the globe to relax and have a good time.
4. Frisbee and Eno-ing because a weekend long activity
Personally, the best part of spring, are frisbee tossing that stops when everybody is tired which is when everyone moves to their Eno for good laughs and afternoon naps.
5. Studying outside
Finally, after being hunkered down in the library for the majority of winter, spring is the time when students are able to study outside again!
6. Long walks or bike rides
After a stressful week or task, going on a long walk or bike ride, clears your mind and helps let you enjoy the beauty spring has to offer.
7. Music festival season
From SXSW to Coachella to Beale Street Music Fest to the summer festivals of Bonnaroo and Lollapolooza, spring is the beginning of music festivval seasons where you can catch anyone you could possibly imagine.
8. Chacos
Probably the most interesting, unattractive and comfortable sandal makes its return as spring temperatures rise and weather becomes bearable.
9. Pastels galore.
Spring staples of pastels and florals will soon be taking over the streets which please the eye due to their lighter colors, which make the world a little more whimsical.
