Disclaimer: I think dogs are better than most people, but I am not saying they are better than all people.
My dogs are honestly better than most people. My dogs are completely adorable, truly loving, and forever loyal. Dogs know how to make you happy when you are having a bad day and just seem to understand every emotion. It doesn’t matter what kind of mood you are in; they are always happy and always try to make you happy.
Dogs are the friends that truly never get mad at you even when you leave. They never want you to leave the house, but when you leave all they do is wait for you to return. They truly miss you. Once you return to them, you can feel their happiness radiate, and it doesn’t matter how long you've been gone. They are always happy to see you and get your attention.
A dog can truly be your best friend in the end, that may just be the best part. Your dogs may not always listen to you, but they definitely can listen better than most friends with a cell phone. They do not always understand what you are saying to them, but it doesn’t mean they aren't trying to understand. When you are unhappy, all they do is try to understand how you are feeling and just cuddle up with you to make you feel better. When dogs cuddle with you it can make your day a lot better. Most dogs love to be up on the furniture on those special occasions, even if they are not supposed to be on the furniture. They can be as lazy as you want them, or also be as hyper and active as you want them to be. It’s all about your mentality and happiness with them.
My dogs are also the best at helping me finish my meals or snacks. I know dogs are not always supposed to have people food, but there are some exceptions to this. To them, it does not matter what you are eating, your dogs will beg and try to look cute enough for you to feed them. You might try to tell them not to beg, but every once in a while you'll give in to the cuteness and feed them. In some cases, dogs can help you finish your plate instead of throwing the rest of the food in the garbage.
Dogs are also better protectors when you are home alone at night and you don’t want to be bothered. The only problem is that sometimes they bark too much and do not know how to stop. A car may be coming down the road and they want to make sure that no one comes near the house. In case they do come near the house, my dogs will make sure to try and scare them off. My dogs are not vicious, but I bet they could be if need be.
You may not be a dog person, but dogs can truly make your life better. They can be a lifelong best friend and they will never betray you, no matter what. Dogs are better than most people.
