Through elementary school, middle school, and high school, I had gone through many friendships, but none had shown me what true friendship really should be. Now that I have begun college, I was lucky enough to become best friends with my roommate. Now that we are almost done with our freshman year, we have gone through a lot -- parties, classes, fights, adventures, shopping, late-night conversations, and Netflix series.
I'm not to good when it comes to showing someone I love them or care about them, but this article is giving a go to truly show you how much I value our friendship.
I think you deserve the world and so much more.
You deserve the world because you see things differently than others that I have met and known. You see in color and not black and white. You are there for others, no matter what, but also know when to take a step back and take care of yourself.
You deserve the world because you are one of the most ambitious people I have ever known. You fight for what you dreamed and still dream for many other things. You are smart and always eager to learn more.
You deserve the world because you are thoughtful. Whether you get me Cookout because you know it's my favorite or make my bed when I forgot that morning, I appreciate the little things you do for me out of love.
You deserve the world because you're the life of the party. You don't have to drink to have a good time, and you always dance with me till 2 a.m.
You deserve the world because you know what it's like to be at the bottom of a pool and feel like you're drowning but know how to swim back up to the top.
You deserve the world because you are just simply you. Maybe not everyone will see what I see in you, but I hope they do. Because I see someone who has suffered, who is strong because of those struggles, and who will always put others before herself.
This year at college has thrown nothing but surprises my way, and I've had to deal with many struggles. You have been by my side for each of those situations. You have been my cheerleader when I was down. You held me when I cried, blasted music when I just needed to forget, and always seemed to fall on your face some how and make me laugh. You, most importantly, do not mind watching a full Netflix series in one day when we just need to relax.
You are my friend, my best friend, sister, and soul wifey. I hope that we have many adventures to come with the next three years of college and even after that.
I can never express how thankful I am for you with you truly knowing. I do love you and I do care about you. I want the best for you and I want you to have the world.
Thank you for being my person.
