Can you imagine what it is like to go to a foreign country? Okay, you probably can. However, can you imagine going over to a foreign country and fighting for our country? Unless you are also in the army probably not. There are many different types of men in this world. They all do different things, and that is what makes the world unique. They can range from football players, gamers, off-roaders, etc. The strongest men in the world, though, are the men who are in the military. Everyone knows at least one person who is or was in the military.
Men who are in the military are the ones standing up and fighting for our country. They work hard every single day, and they still don’t get the credit that they deserve. Recently I saw a picture of a soldier’s casket coming off a commercial airplane from the luggage compartment. A body of a soldier should not be treated like luggage. They go through so much when they are overseas. They should have a better way to get back to the United States.
When a soldier goes overseas, they aren’t going there to see the sights of that country. They aren’t living in four-star hotels, and they have little internet connection. They do fight in towns, but they live primarily in the middle of nowhere. I can’t even begin to imagine what they go through overseas. However, I do know when they get home they have major PTSD. It takes the love and support of their loved ones to stand by them through whatever type of PTSD they have. Just because when a soldier comes home and they have PTSD doesn’t mean that they are weak. They are tremendously strong for going overseas to fight for their country, something that many of us will never be able to do. When I meet someone who is in the military, I have tremendous respect for them. We all need to do the same.
