Why I Love YouTube

What is your favorite thing to watch? Some people are movie watchers, some people are television watchers, and some people like Netflix/Hulu/etc. Me? I am a YouTube watcher. I subscribe to over 20 different channels. These channels range from families, to beauty gurus, to travelers, and even some famous people. Now, I do not watch every single video uploaded every day. I go through phases. Sometimes I am more interested in certain channels over other ones. I also get busy and cannot always watch something everyday. The best part about YouTube is that no matter what day it is, those videos will still there for me to watch them.

When watching YouTube, you get to see inside of someone’s life. Yes, they get to choose what you get to see and do not see, but you are still seeing such a raw video of their lives. They open up and let you into their It is intimate and makes for wonderful videos. It is a different experience than just watching a movie, I think it is special.

I also love YouTube videos because they are short. Sometimes I do not have the attention span to sit down and watch a two hour-long movie or even a 30-minute to an hour TV show. On those days, I have a quick video to watch that gives me the same relaxing feeling a movie or show would.

YouTube is an amazing resource. I would no way be able to do my makeup how I do it now without having watched YouTube videos. Little skills like how to solve a Rubik’s cube, how to put your new phone case on, and so much more can be found on many videos on YouTube. Being able to have this visual resource at your fingertips at any time of the day can be really helpful.

Some people do not understand why I love watching YouTube videos. It can be hard to explain, and sometimes people may think I am weird for watching a random family I do not know on the Internet. YouTube is a great escape, and sometimes I wish I had the time/resources to make my own videos.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
