1. Jesus is at the Center
At Newspring Church, Jesus is the center of every decision, action, and experience of the church. There are no end goals other than reaching people and bringing people to know Jesus Christ and it is evident with every service that I attend.
2. The Sermons are raw
At Newspring Church, Pastor Perry Noble gives inspiring sermons every week where he goes in depth in the word of Christ in a way that is profoundly understandable. He takes the word of Christ and relates it to the problems of the world, and things that people are going through on a daily basis.
Pastor P never fails to say what is on his mind even if there are things that "pastors should not be saying." He speaks like a real person on the same level as everyone sitting in the audience.
The sermons are themed in a way that people are excited about Christ. For example, there was a series called "The Gospel According to Youtube" where Pastor P used some of the most famous youtube videos to explain the gospel. There was also "Can't Lose" recently, which was football and sports themed. If you're not into sports or Youtube, there have been 90s themed sermons, and even movie themed sermons. No matter the theme, the sermons reach out to you in a way that reaches deep into your life and relates to the word in a new way. The rawness of the sermons is one of the reasons I made a home at Newspring.
3. I can wear my PJs to Church
One of he greatest parts about a church with many locations is that I can wear jeans and a T-shirt or fancy clothes and fit in either way. Newspring doesn't judge anyone that walks through the door on their attire. I feel super comfortable no matter how I look when I walk into a Newspring campus. Also, if I actually can't make church or am sick, I can watch the service from the comfort of my own bed online, LIVE! Not only could I watch the service live from my bed, but from anywhere, really, which is awesome in this super fast paced thing we call life.
4. The "Judgement Eyes" aren't a Thing.
From the moment I step out of the car, I feel like I am at home at Newspring. Being a part of Newspring doesn't mean that you're perfect, and that's sort of an unspoken rule. Pastor P said it well when he said, "Its okay to not be okay, but not okay to stay that way." Newspring accepts everyone no matter their past, and is a judgment-free zone that wants to reach everyone. Newspring says, "No matter what you’ve been through or what questions you might have, we want you to be a part of the family."
5. Encouragement to do more than Attend Church
At Newspring, there are so many opportunities to grow as a Christian in your faith. There is a lot of encouragement to use the gifts that God has given you to reach others and spread the word. Whether you join a small group, work in the kids ministry, offer prayer with others, or even greet people as they come in the door, the possibilities to spread the love of Christ are endless.
6. Newspring is making a Difference
At Newspring, there is an alter call every week, and while it may be the perfect time for some people to slip out, or for some it may seem repetitive, it is so amazing to see people giving their lives to Christ. There are also ministries designed just for students to grow in their relationship with Christ as well as a ministry for kids to learn more about Christ in a fun way while their parents attend the service.

Despite spending many years at other churches, whether traditional or mega, I have truly found a home at Newspring Church and I LOVE it! I wasn't asked to write this article for the church, nor am I advertising for the church. I am writing this article so that those who may be far from God and want to find a home can have a little insight into Newspring and why I call it my home church.
If you haven't found a home church or just want to see what it's all about, head on over to www.newspring.cc for more information on locations and service times.
