Why I Love 'Bachelor In Paradise'
knotnews.com

On Monday, August 1, 2016, Jojo Fletcher choose Jordan Rodgers to be her man in the final episode of "The Bachelorette" on ABC. Many people would think that this is the end of the bachelor craze for the year but they are wrong, "Bachelor in Paradise," season three premiered the next night and I couldn’t be happier.

Last year I was taken for a wild ride of love and heartbreak (along with drama, of course) when I discovered this gem of a reality TV show and couldn’t wait for this year's cast to take over that beach in Mexico.

For those of you who don’t know this wonderful show here’s a breakdown. "Bachelor" contestants from pervious seasons, both male and female, get shipped down to Mexico to try to find love amongst the unloved. They go on "The Bachelor" style dates and they alternate men and women giving out roses each week. If you are not in a relationship and do not receive a rose you have to go home and a new bachelor contestant takes your place the next week.

I am a proud member of bachelor nation and watch both "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" religiously so to see my favorite cast mates back at it again with the chance for all of them to find love, I was hooked.

With the first episode aired already I was reminded why I feel in love with the show in the first place.

The drama on this show is amazing. Many of the contestants come onto the show with an idea of who from the other seasons would be the perfect fit for them, which naturally causes emotions to flare up pretty early. People think they have a connection with someone based on the stupidest things like how they both really like the food.

Another great from of drama on the show is that these contestants are not vying for one person’s heart so they can go for anyone at anytime. This makes for a lot of stealing and backstabbing among themselves, which makes for viewing it back home super interesting.

They also have unlimited alcohol on the show so, naturally, there are drunken fights that will ensue. For example on the first episode of season three Chad was so drunk he picked a fight with the one girl that could be possibly interested in him and their relationship was over before it even began.

Although I love the drama, my favorite part of the show is how cheesy it is. The producers know how dumb this concept is and so they embrace it. The opening to the show resembles a 90s family comedy that introduces the cast in a different way each week. They also have fun with the confessionals and listing the contestant’s names and occupations which change at least once a show.

So if you are looking for me over the next two months I will be glued to my TV Monday and Tuesday nights to see how this crazy season unfolds on newest and best "Bachelor" series, "Bachelor in Paradise."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
