Why Life Is Scary And What We Need To Do About It
We Heart It

Time. That is what's scary about life. Time goes by with a blink of an eye. You may hear this a lot, but it is true. It makes you want to wish everything could slow down for a bit. The sad reality is that it's not going to slow down. You may think at this moment your life is moving pretty slow, but honey, it is only going by faster. I want to talk about this because there are a few things I believe we should do since life goes by pretty fast without us even knowing.

The first thing I highly encourage everyone to do is to spend time with loved ones--family and friends. I know, this is pretty cheesy but it couldn't be any truer. In regards to your family, you should cherish the moments spent with them because it sadly may not happen in the future. In regards to your friends, just enjoy every moment you get with them. Stop staring at your phone and actually spend quality time with them because friends come and go in life--who knows the friends you have now may not be there for you in the future.

Do what you love. If you're stuck at a loser job where you get paid a loser income, just stop. Stop working there. Do something with your life and go find a better job where you will get the amount you should be getting paid. Life is too short to flip burgers at a fast food restaurant (I know not all of you probably flip burgers but you get what I'm saying!) You deserve so much better than that.

Life is way too short, so why not be adventurous? This world is so huge and there is so much that needs to be explored, by you! You'll learn a lot about the planet you live in and also learn a lot about yourself too by being adventurous. If you don't have the money now to do such a thing, then save up! Save up those moolahs because in the end you will know it was worth it.

Another thing you should consider is to get out of your comfort zone. Go do something that scares you. Again, life is too short. It's too short to hide underneath your covers and not do stuff that will give you the thrills. Stop being so scared and overcome your fears. If it's going to take some time for you to get out of your comfort zone then that's totally fine. Just give it a while and work on overcoming your fears.

Life does go by super fast and it's about time we start taking some actions because time is not going to slow down for us. It's not going to slow down for anybody.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
