To many people, the idea of death is a daunting and scary reality, and to me, it was until almost a year ago. I was listening to a speaker talk about Jesus coming back one day, when all of a sudden, a blanket of comfort came over me in that moment. I am no longer afraid of death and this is why.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” (Jesus speaking) – John 10: 27-29

It’s so marvelous that Christ knows every single one of His children’s names and that He calls out to them. Through His sacrifice for us, we have eternal life in Him and His Father; Nothing can change this! We may wonder, but He will call us back and love us just as much as He did when we first came to Him. An unfailing love is such a beautiful and unimaginable thing to me. He will always forgive you and bring you back to salvation. He holds each and every one of His children in His hands to protect them from so many different dangers in this world and nobody can knock you from that security.

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.'” – Revelation 21: 1-4

This passage describes the new Earth and the new Heaven after the final judgment. There is no longer any seas which makes immense room for the redeemed. God will no longer be far away. He will dwell with man and we will see him as he truly is. This next verse has to be my favorite that I have read so far in the Bible. In Genesis, Adam and Eve sinned and caused the downfall of man. They began the tears, the sorrow, and death but in the end there is none of that. You will no longer feel the pain of this world. The devil won’t be able to manipulate your life any longer. This is the end that I look so forward to. I cannot wait to stand beside God and feel eternal peace in my soul.

“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” – John 14: 2-4

Jesus isn’t literally saying that Heaven is like an apartment building, which is what I have pictured in the past when reading this. He is telling us of all the room that there is in Heaven for every soul that God calls to salvation. If you accept Him into your life, He already has a room ready for you and He is just waiting to call you home. One day, we will live in Heaven close to God and the rest of our eternal family there.

I am no longer afraid of death because one day I will get to stand in Heaven with my Savior and feel no pain and no hurt. I will be nothing but loved for an eternity after that. I choose God because He chose me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
