Paramore has been a part of everyone's life at one point or another, whether they're a fan or not thanks to hits like "Misery Business," "The Only Exception," "Still Into You," and "Ain't It Fun." It has been almost 4 years since the release of their self-titled album and it was just announced that their 5th studio album will be released May 12th and this is why everyone should be excited for it:
1. The first single released is AMAZING
<span id="selection-marker-1" class="redactor-selection-marker"></span><span <span id="selection-marker-1" class="redactor-selection-marker"></span>They went in a new direction with their sound and it was definitely the correct one. Bands are always going to have to update their sound over time and Paramore expertly has been adapting for years.
2. Hayley is "ready to cry hard/dance harder with you."
This gif is exactly what will be going on in my head when I listen to this new album. There's been a lot of drama over who's in the band still, who's not, and a lawsuit involving a former band member so I'm expecting a lot of BOPS with emo lyrics. Honestly, those are the best kind of songs.
3. New era, new aesthetic
As much as I loved Hayley's punk rock hair, this new look may be my favorite on her.
4. The original drummer is back
Zac Farro is back after a messy breakup with the band back in 2011. Longtime fans are really excited about this.
5. New album means new tour
If you've never seen Paramore live I 10/10 recommend. Even if you don't know a lot of their music, it's just a great time.
6. This album almost didn't happen at all
Apparently, with all the drama happening within the band, the members were considered breaking up altogether.
But after Hayley and Taylor's friendship with Zac began to rekindle and they started doing a little writing to see if it'd go anywhere, they realized this is going to be big.
7. And honestly, everything that Paramore makes is gold
Paramore always comes through with quality music, so even if it's not what we expect, it's still going to be great.
