The quote, "I'd rather have four quarters than 100 pennies" describes my opinion on friendship. I have never been one to obsess over having a lot of friends. From a young age, my dad taught me the value of having few, but worthy, friendships. I always thought (and still do) that he was simply anti-social, but the truth is he has no time to waste on insignificant people, and neither do I. As I grew up and went through school and now college, only a few people have been able to make it to the prestigious category of being my best friends.
So, thank you! To those friends who have influenced my life so much and have made me a better, happier person, I love you guys to the moon and back. Here are just a few of many many reasons why I am so fortunate and thankful to have you be in my life.
For all the laughter in the world! You all know how much I love to laugh and you guys make me laugh more than I can handle sometimes.
For all the emotional support, whether it's during breakups or when school is driving me crazy, you have always been there to give me a shoulder to cry on or a drink to forget my struggles.
For all the comfort in talking about anything in the world. whether it's talking about gross bodily phenomena or the craziness from the previous night, it's all completely normal and quite amusing.
For all the unconditional love. We can be a few minutes away or hours away and the distance will never affect our friendship.
For becoming my family, because you guys have been the family I've chosen to have.
For the crazy, memorable adventures that I will always cherish.
For there never being a dull moment when we're together because even if there's nothing to do, the fact that we are together makes it okay.
For understanding my pains with society and life, in general; you know -- for hearing me complain.
For laughing at me when I forget the English language.
For being honest with me. I know when my eyebrows don't look on fleek.
For dealing and appreciating my flaws. You are all the real MVPs for this.
For genuinely caring about me.
And for simply making me the happiest when I'm with you!
