Come to Broadway, now.

Okay, so, I'll admit I'm a big fan of Heathers. I first saw the show back in 2014 during its Off-Broadway run. Now, over two years later, I'm still saying it should be on Broadway. And here's why!

1. The music is really amazing

I find myself listening to the soundtrack and just singing along at the top of my lungs. And I literally have no shame with this. I don’t care who hears me. Just leave me in peace!

2. The show is actual perfection

I became obsessed about a month after I saw the show live. Now, all I have is the cast recording and live footage. And the high hope it will soon come to Broadway.

3. A lot of fans want it to come to Broadway

Like, c’mon already. Everyone misses this show. And they need it back in The Big Apple. And I’m sure a lot of us would actually die (not literally) if the Original Off-Broadway Cast became the Original Broadway Cast. Though, I don’t think that’ll happen. But, hey, no matter who the cast is, I’ll be way too excited.

4. It did really well in Australia

An American movie turned musical was popular. In Australia. And I feel like this show would also do really well in other countries. The story captures you, and you just feel like you’re right in it.

5. Lets not forget about the U.S. Productions

There have been plenty of productions done in the US since closing in 2014. If that isn’t reason enough for the show to come to Broadway.

6. There's a high school version

Come on. They literally made a high school version. And was played in local theatres. Come. To. Broadway. Like, now. Thanks.

7. In my honest opinion, it'll be a hit on Broadway

This just be me being the Heathers fan that I am, but I genuinely do feel like the show being on Broadway, they will have a long run. More merch will be made and sold. More people wearing something about the show. The more people that will notice and possibly come and see the show.

8. A long run equals more people to get the chance of getting a part they’ve been dreaming of

There has to be so many people that would love to be in a production, let alone being on Broadway. Let’s give these people their dreams! Which also means, more opportunities to see the show over and over again. For the new cast.

9. A lot of people will come see the show

If I’d had the money, I’d be there like, every other weekend. But, all in all, a lot of people will come to travel to see the show. Instead of not having the time for a local performance. With the show being on Broadway, it’s going to give more people the chance to take off of work, or even travel to see the sho

10. New fans

Literally. People will tell people who will tell people that will tell people. Got a friend? Great! Boyfriend/girlfriend? Even better! Bring them to the show. Bring family members. Tell your co-workers. Your classmates. Only if we get a Broadway run!

11. More recognition

Which means more of a following. Which means, it will get more popular elsewhere. Which means new casts. Which means more schools and theatre productions will do the show.

12. Meeting new friends

Literally. Meeting new people with some of the same interests as you is a pretty amazing. You can bond over one thing, and then end up where the hell this person was all your life.

13. Relatable

The show is very relatable in many, many aspects. One of them we all had those ‘mean girls’ in high school. And we just wanted to fit in. Or knew very well what it’s like to be bullied. Which is never OK.

14. Not everyone is who they say they are

And that is a very important lesson, in my opinion. The show captures that not even the new faces can be truly honest about themselves. Sure, there are people out there who are what they say they are. But there are people who aren’t. People have layers. Just like ogres and onions. And sometimes, when you peel away the layers, their true personality shines through. And sometimes that person can become very toxic.

15. More job openings, maybe?

Like, who knows. With a new Broadway show, they can recruit more people who just graduated out of college. Creating jobs for them. And if the show goes to different schools and theatre companies, jobs for more people. Also, people always quit, retire, or get fired. So, openings for people who are looking!

16. The atmosphere of the show is amazing

When I saw the show, I was in love the whole time. It was funny. You couldn’t help but have a good time during the whole show.

All in all, Heathers is just amazing show. And it should come to Broadway now.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
