Why I Hate Pretty Little Liars But Can't Stop Watching

**This article may contain spoilers for the show “Pretty Little Liars”

“Pretty Little Liars” is a popular TV show on Freeform (previously known as ABC Family). Even if you don’t watch it yourself, you can probably name some facts about the girls, or the plot, because it is that popular. If you have been watching since it came out about six years ago, you know how badly we all want to know the outcome of the show. No matter how much you love the show, you can’t help but scream “I hate this show” at least one time while watching the new episode. Here is a list of reasons I hate “Pretty Little Liars,” but can’t stop watching.

1) The girls were in high school for six seasons, even though they were looking at colleges in season two.

2) The way the girls would dress for high school every day, like they were going to a fashion show.

3) Every season there was a different murder. And it was usually someone that was important for the girls to find out who ‘A’ was.

4) Even when we found out who ‘A’ was and we thought it was over, the next season there was a different person after the group of girls. Now they dragged me back in with the new threats to the girls, signing the texts with an emoji instead of a letter.

5) The way the girls had two hours before school started to get coffee, chase down a clue and still look like they had three hours to get ready.

6) What was that all about with the face masks? They never explained!

7) How about how they killed people but then they came back to life, Alison, Toby, Mona, Lucas, Jason.

8) How every time there was a chance for one of the girls to die, they didn’t. They survived escapades that only superwoman would have made it through alive. Burning houses, explosions, knives, guns all without weapons of their own and usually in heels.

9) Characters would disappear and then reappear when they had some random clue about ‘A’ - The psychiatrist, Hanna’s father, Hanna’s half-sister, Wren, Ian, Noel, Lucas, etc.; They seemed important to the plot, then they were gone.

10) The girls always think they are going to set a trap for ‘A’ but they almost always end up getting trapped instead.

11) No matter how last minute or random, the girl's decision seems to go somewhere, 'A' is always there first.

12) There is always one girl going off on her own to look around some abandoned warehouse. Why would they think that’s a good idea?

13) How are we supposed to believe that 'A' built an underground bunker by herself? Did she use a shovel, heavy machinery?

14)What secrets are the girls afraid will be revealed if they don’t follow ‘A’s threats? I mean, how bad could they be?

15) Every question that you have that finally gets answered, just leads to 12 new questions.

16) Just remember, as soon as you think you figured out who ‘A’ was, they will change it up on you.

But, no matter how many episodes go by, I continue to watch every single one. I might complain about how they are dragging the show out, but you can bet anything I will be sitting down watching season seven premiere on June 21, 2016.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
