I've always been a Grey's Anatomy fan. So after completely finishing each and every episode, I started re-watching the series, beginning with season one. Along with my recent start of the season and simultaneous ending of my freshman year of college, I have come to the conclusion that I want to be a surgeon. To be honest, I don't want to go to medical school (and I hated my introductory bio class), but I would love to be a Meredith or a Christina and take Seattle Grace by storm.
There is nothing more exciting than a busy hospital (i.e. a busy episode) and there is no love triangle (or square) hotter than Derek, Meredith, Sloan, and Addison. Throughout the series, I have come to fall in love with the absurd amount of drama, and the unrealistic amount of trauma that these over-glamorized doctors experience on a daily basis. From the typical car crash to the surgical removal of a tree (and survival of the patient), I love it all. I have become attached to these characters since the beginning, and I have watched them transform from eager and young interns to successful attendings. They also all happen to have graduated first in their class. #rare
Every time I watch an episode, I think about what my life would be like as a surgeon. Of course, I never consider how many years of schooling or how many hours of work goes into the process. I really just think about everything that the characters do that doesn't involve medicine. Along with the many romantic love triangles, squares, and even pentagons, there are solid friendships that have been sustained throughout all eleven seasons. Meredith and Christina are an unbeatable pair, and this is evident even from the first season. Even McDreamy (RIP) and McSteamy used to be best friends.
There is no greater thrill than when a new episode comes on because viewers are never bored. We can always count on Shonda Rhimes to entertain us and persuade us to want to live the prestigious and dramatic life of the doctors at Seattle Grace. Whether you are just starting to binge watch Grey's or you have been watching since the original date of the pilot episode, it's common consensus that anyone would love to be a surgeon. Maybe you're a Meredith, a Christina, a Derek or even a Bailey. There is no denying that you would take the place of whichever character has your heart in heartbeat.
