No matter if you are a regular or going because it is required for a class, going to a play can be beneficial to you in ways you never thought possible.
Plays…
1. Bring enjoyment
Like watching a TV show or movie, it can be fun to see hypothetical scenarios acted out. When you go to a play it is entertaining to watch actors express themselves in a form that makes them happy.
2. Have an underlying moral
The script of a play sometimes is just for fun, but usually plays have a lesson to be learned by the audience. This lesson, even though not exactly the same, can somehow be applied to your life and make you think about everything you have in your life.
3. Provide a break from reality
In life, it can be easy to get caught up and forget to take time to relax. When attending a play, you are given the time to sit back, relax and reflect on your life.
4. Remind you to appreciate
The act of watching a play does not require much. But when you watch a play and see how even a made-up situation can work out, if gives you hope that things will work out for you and causes you to appreciate and be thankful for all you have.
5. Are live action
Some plays were first books so it is always interesting to see how the director casted and arranged the story line just like seeing a movie.
6. Can be a fun date idea
Even though not everyone claims to like plays, it can be a new experience for you and your significant other to try out.
7. Are where you can support your actor friend
Most likely you know at least one person that is involved or has been involved in theatre and it is always nice to support those who do.
8. What else would you do with your night?
It is time to change it up and go do something different with your evening. Stop wasting your time at boring parties or watching Netflix, go out and see a play!
Although some of you do not attend plays regularly or even at all, I recommend you try it out some time and remember these points when you do.
