Why God Just Makes Logical Sense

Science hasn’t disproven God, in fact it backs it up more than you probably know.

I want the atheists that are on the fence to think about something, logically, just for a second.

If a nonbeliever dies, they spend eternity in hell, or nothing.

If a believer dies, they spend eternity in heaven, or nothing.

Is it worth the risk to deny God? If I was a betting man I’d bet on the safer of the two... which is being a believer. It just makes logical sense.

But is it really that simple? You just believe and accept Jesus Christ as your savior to get to heaven? It is absolutely that simple. Why would an ever-loving and accepting God create requirements for his children to have eternal life with him? That doesn’t make logical sense.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Matthew 10:33 (ASV) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

"But... I sin". Good! Becoming a firm believer doesn't automatically make you a flawless unicorn, you're still human. Jesus died on the cross, which is a proven historical fact, for our sins.

But… but… SCIENCE, am I right? Not really… Science hasn’t disproven God, in fact it backs it up more than you probably know. All it’s done is raise questions that, personally, humans may never be capable of knowing. Asking our brain to understand all of time, space, and all of eternity’s questions is like asking an ant to use its brain to build a Chevy Silverado. For scientists to think they’re more intelligent than God is almost amusing. There’s been countless efforts to disprove God including the “Big Bang Theory”. If you’re unfamiliar with this slowly evaporating theory, it’s that all time and creation came from a single speck that decided to explode one day and perfectly form life as we know it. My question is where did the speck come from? God, perhaps? "Big bang" doesn’t make logical sense.

A relationship with Jesus is a relationship based on faith. We’re allowed to have questions, we’re allowed to wonder. Personally, my questions lead to research, which ultimately lead to stronger faith in the existence of God. Even if he didn’t exist, believers get the relieving feeling that they can let go, and let God. Believers will put their faith and problems on his shoulders and He will take care of everything for them. So why isn’t every Christian a huge success and living the happiest of lives? Well, there’s still natural to our world. There’s work to be done, faith doesn’t pay the bills, and you can’t win the lottery without buying a ticket. You can’t blame God for your lack of effort.

I’m here to tell you that He exists, and He wants the best for each and every one of you reading this. You have his support, you’ve just got to believe that and never forget it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
