If you're anything like me, you tend to ruthlessly binge-watch TV shows on Netflix for no reason. And I hope you're not like me, and you sometimes go outdoors, but if you are, then you know what I mean when I say that the cast of Friends is sometimes eerily similar to your own friends. Here's how.
Rachel: I mean, her hair! But anyway. Rachel just wants to be loved. She falls hard and falls fast and while she admittedly has great taste in men, has had her fair share of significant others on the show, for this reason. We all have this friend. She's texting a new guy every week and telling you that he's the one. Honey, he's not the one. Or the last one. Or the next one. But maybe the one after that. And we love you, anyway.
Phoebe: Every time she speaks, it is just a stream of consciousness. She says everything she thinks, no matter how random, rude, or just bizarre it is. This is your unfiltered friend that you're actually mildly offended by most of the time. Wait, did she really just say that about me? Does my face actually remind her of a grapefruit? Is my ex-boyfriend actually similar to your uncle?
Ross: He tries. Like, he really, really tries. Whether it's with Rachel or in all other aspects of his life, there are times where you just want him to do less. It's okay to be casual about certain situations, Rosses of the world. We love you for trying, but frankly, you stress us out.
Chandler: His witty conversational abilities are unmatched. His social awkwardness may never be met. His snark is thoroughly unparalleled. And basically everything he says is 100% entirely relatable because you were probably thinking the same thing. Or is this just me? Chandler is the all-encompassing every man, be it his on point facial expressions and tendency for the sarcastic.
Monica: Everything needs to go her way. If something is off-kilter, if what's happening isn't up to her liking, she can't handle it. It needs to change until it is Monica Approved, and if it isn't, you are going to hear about it until it is. This is the friend that you used to fight for your way with, but now you realize it's easier to just give up. It's fine, Monicas of the world. You win.
Joey: You aren't a friend of mine if you don't wish you were a bit more like Joey. Just ... Everyone should be more like Joey.
