Failure is important.
As kids we're taught that failing is unacceptable and if we fail at something, we're deemed "failures." I always agreed with the statement until very recently. I've always struggled with failing or getting a lower grade on an exam or test than I had planned. I would deem myself personally inadequate and incapable of success because I failed at something I put my all into. What I realized as I grew older is that just because something didn't go as planned or I didn't get the score I wanted, I'm still more than capable of achieving those goals.
If something is difficult, it doesn't mean we are required to give up, it means we should try harder. When someone deems themselves inadequate due to something not going as they had planned, they're instilling an image in their minds of being failures and they give up. The only way that you can fail at something is when they give up and stop trying. Success and greatness do not happen overnight. You must continue to push yourself past your comfort zones and out of the realm of familiarity in order to achieve all that you are capable of becoming. Whether the road is difficult or not, the destination is forever beautiful.
