Anyone who knows me at all knows that I have the biggest obsession with Ed Sheeran and I have had an obsession with him for the longest time. If you wanted to know something about him, I'm sure I could tell you. He's one of my favorite artists for several reasons, his meaningful lyrics, witty phrases, and funny interviews keep me hooked on this beautiful ginger.
He is someone that has continued to stay down to earth and stick to his morals while being famous. If that doesn't make you respect him as a person then I don't know what will. The way he talks about women and how respectful he is towards women is my favorite thing about him.
For example, here are a couple quotes:
His lyrics have so much meaning behind them and like any artist, all of his songs have little hidden phrases or sayings that you may not catch the first time you listen to it. You'll listen to his lyrics and you'll find things that you missed before. Every time I listen to his songs I will find something that I didn't hear before that adds a deeper meaning and makes me love the song even more than I did before. It's like getting a little present every time you listen to a song of his.
My favorite song of his is "Wake Me Up" and in the song he says,
"I could do without a tan, on my left hand where my fourth finger meets my knuckle" which is a very meaningful way of basically saying that he wouldn't mind marrying you. In the song he also says,
"So I'll take you to the beach
And walk along the sand
And I'll make you a heart pendant
With a pebble held in my hand
And I'll carve it like a necklace
So the heart falls where your chest is
And now a piece of me is a piece of the beach and it falls just where it needs to be

If that didn't make you fall in love with him, you must not have a heart because that song is the whole reason for my obsession with him.
The way he can write a song so poetically about someone is one of the reasons I am so intrigued by him. He doesn't just make a song for you to listen to, he creates art. The way he describes a person and the events that he has been through is so amazing. The way he writes his songs with so much power and emotion makes me look up to him as a writer.
And THAT is why I am obsessed with Ed Sheeran.
