After booking my next trip to Disney World for August and patiently waiting until this coming Friday to purchase my plane tickets to make everything official, I cannot help but wonder why I am absolutely so excited as a twenty-something going to Disney. I feel a lot of my excitement stems from it being my boyfriend’s first time going, and although I am excited for him, I am also excited for myself.
I have been traveling to Disney since my Pop Warner Cheerleading team’s reign of excellence at continuously making it to nationals. Each time I step out of the airplane and into the Orlando International Airport every worry I have ever had escapes my mind. It is like a fume of happiness exudes the entire area of Orlando. Walking into Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom is also no refute to my conclusion.
There are many things to be happy about while vacationing in Orlando. Whether it be you going to Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, or just kicking back at the amazingly themed hotels, one cannot help but feel complete nostalgia.
So what is it about Disney World that actually makes everyone so happy? After much of my own consideration I have chalked the answer down to something simple. This is a place where everyone from all over the world travels to. No one is treated differently because of where you’re from, who you are, or what you believe. Here everyone comes together to experience the same happiness and pay homage to a childhood that all adults are trying to remember and children are beginning to create.
From amazingly creepy queue lines like the famous Hollywood Tower Hotel, to delicious cuisines from around the world in one park, and to unforgettable times with friends, family, and loved ones, Disney truly takes home the gold medal for being the happiest place on Earth. A place that since I was young always made me believe that magic is real. For that I am truly grateful.
