Disney World. It is a magical place, isn’t it? I think we can all agree that it is indeed the happiest place on earth. While there are a few skeptics out there, I can say I have only met a handful of people who do not like Disney or Disney World. For those who love it, including myself, I have noticed that they are people of all ages. Obviously the target audience is families with younger children, but Disney can be fun for anyone at any age!
Children love Disney for obvious reasons, such as meeting all the characters, going on the rides, and feeling as if they are living in their own personal fairytale while they are there. But why can’t adults love it for all those same reasons? Well, true Disney fans do! Going to Disney as an adult is definitely a totally different experience than going as a young child. But, the best part about it is that you get to relive your childhood experience or just relax and feel like a little kid again. This is the one place where it is totally acceptable to take a picture with a character in a huge, furry costume and not be judged. Not to mention that some of the rides are very thrilling at any age as well. Rockin' Roller Coaster will always be a little scary to me!
The parks are also filled with other recreational activities such as the hundreds of stores you can shop in. While most of them do contain Disney merchandise, it gives you plenty of options for finding the perfect souvenir. Then, of course, there is the amazing food. The hardest part of eating while in Disney World is deciding where to go and what to get. There are just so many options to choose from, you want to ensure you make the correct choices during your stay. Most of them also come with an experience as well, such as meeting characters during a character dinner or dining in extravagant places such as “under the sea” in Coral Reef. Wherever you decide to go, it is promised to be a good meal. If you are just looking for a snack though, the large turkey legs or the Mickey Mouse shaped ice cream bar are perfect options. If you are of age, you can partake in drinking around the world in the countries of Epcot! Even without that feature, the countries are an enjoyable time for anyone as they represent each countries culture with shops and cuisine. Last but not least, there are performances and firework shows that are too magical for anyone to miss out on.
With Disney being located in sunny and tropical Orlando, Florida, traveling there will at least feel like a vacation, weather wise. It also allows you to lounge by the pool at your resort if you choose to do so. Being able to relax is the best part of a vacation and even though Disney can sometimes be chaotic, it is definitely a large difference than your normal every day to day life.
Overall, Disney World is a trip that everyone should try and experience at least once in their life. Granted, I know it is not traveling the world or going to another country, but it is a genuinely fun vacation and it is clear to see that anyone can enjoy it. So take a trip with family, friends, or your significant other and just enjoy being a kid again. Whether you may be a prince, princess, or hero, your inner Disney character will shine as soon as you arrive!
