It's 2017, Why Is Cyber Bullying Still A Problem?

Bullying can come in all forms; physical, mental, emotional, but the newest trend is cyber bullying.

With shows like “13 Reasons Why” that very clearly shows that all your actions have consequences and that you may never truly know the kind of pain someone is facing it really raises the question why is cyber bullying still a problem?

Being mean does not make you cool. As a matter of fact it is kind of lame. You would not want to be friends with someone who is mean to you, so do not be mean to others as well-- as lame as it sounds, treat others the way you want to be treated.

Cyber bullying is a cowardly act. When you write something online you are hiding behind your screen because the chances are you are too afraid to say anything in person. Instead, you take all you have to say, while hiding behind your screen, and post it for everyone and anyone to see. It is a hopeless cry for help; begging to be noticed and seen. Chances are, what you are saying is wrong with others is really all the flaws you see within yourself.

Everything you say will come back to haunt you. That is the greatest part of the internet-- it never goes away. Years later, when you want to move on from the past, you will not be able to. What you had said will never go away. It stays on the internet forever and replays in your victim's mind day in and day out.

No matter what you do or say your actions will have consequences-- big or small.

The most important role you can have is not being a bystander. If you see bullying happening, stop it. Yes, the bully might then go after you, but at least you know the are only coming after you because you were able to take them down when no one else could. Sometimes all someone needs is just one person to stick by their side and eb their friend to make all the hard times a little easier. Everybody needs somebody.

If you are the victim please know, it is never your fault. It is always the bully’s fault. They are the ones who have their own issues and need to take it out on someone who they know would never retaliate. You are kind and innocent. They can see that you would never do or say anything to hurt them back so they keep walking all over you until you are as beat up as a worn out rug. Please, always remember, it never was and never will be your fault.

It is time to put an end to cyber bullying once and for all.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
