I'm passionate about it.

Ever since I went to college and decided on my major, I've heard from numerous people that I wouldn't be able to anything with it. That there isn't a good enough paying job for my type of major and that I should get a degree in something that's useful. In all honesty though, my major is my major because it's useful to me.

My major is Journalism and Emerging Media, and I love it. My major is a concentration in journalism and emerging media but it falls under the Communications School at Kennesaw State so, I will be achieving a Communications degree. I chose my major because I can learn other communication skills outside of writing and carry that over into my career. My major is something that be used more diversely than most people think.

I chose my major because it's something that I am passionate about. I have a passion for writing and learning how to become a better writer each day. I get excited about going to class now and have an interest for what I'm learning. I have an idea of the career path I want to take and what I want to do with my degree. Shouldn't you choose a major about something that you love to do? I want to be able to enjoy my learning experience and my career after graduation.

I've known what I wanted to go to college for ever since I was in middle school. I have had a passion for writing for as long as I could remember. And having Emerging Media as part of my major is just a bonus because I love everything about film and photography. Being able to learn communication through those mediums and how they work is so fascinating to me. With my major, I'm able to learn beyond just writing and journalism, I'm able to learn more about media and the different careers in it. My major gives me so many different options and opportunities for a career. It also gives me a lot of open doors for different internships while I'm still in school. My major makes me excited for my future.

If you're someone who's ever been told that your major won't get you anywhere and that it's useless. Or you've been told that you should reconsider major and do something that's more someone else's liking or interests, ignore it. If you're doing what you love and passionate about, nothing else should matter to you. I'm finally being able to do and learn about what I love and I couldn't be happier.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
