It is for the weak.

I bet you started reading this to figure out what kind of monster could possibly come to the conclusion that people need to stop being so nice to each other in this already rude and angry population of people. This my friend, was false advertisement use with the intention of luring outraged and kind individuals, just like yourself, to read this hella important message. So before I really begin, I must state that this article is to contradict the title completely. In reality, we need to start to be kinder and more empathetic towards one another. It’s not that difficult to do that.

Somehow, it has become the normal and funny thing to be “savage” towards others. Understand, I take part in the joking with friends in a silly and bartering matter as well, but some seem to not understand that there is a fine line between having some fun joking around and being a total douchelord. I see it everywhere! It is especially potent in the media; specifically Facebook and Twitter. These are the prime examples of going overboard and crossing the line for no apparent reason besides to get attention and hurt others.

On these social media sites, people post everything about their lives. They post when they feel confident; when they feel they are doing something fun; when they want to share a funny story that happened to them or even when they are feeling bummed out. There are the people that are disinterested and just scroll past the post. They keep their opinions to themselves and that’s the best way to go. Then, there are the people who are happy and post uplifting comments for the person. However, there are also the people who thrive off of negativity and post things to try to ruin someone's day, because somehow that is a form of entertainment.

They post uncalled for comments on things that do not concern them in the slightest. These people go out of their way to ruin someone else's day or yet make it worse, if it’s something they're upset about.

Why? What is the purpose of this? Why act awful or tough to some random individual who has done absolutely nothing but post something about their life? If it doesn’t concern you or is not completely and utterly offensive without a doubt, you are nothing less than a bully if you set out to be rude to someone just become its “savage” and funny to you. If this is entertaining to you, you’re obviously stuck in the school yard bully stage and need to do some growing up.

I could go on about this topic for ages and list example after example, but I won’t to you or myself. The message I am really trying to emphasize is stop being jerks for the hell of it and start being nice to others. Be nicer than you even have to be. Nice is cool. Give light to others and have warmer interactions. Being passive aggressive and rude towards people for the hell of it or for “fun” is dumb and uncalled for. Call me what you want. Tell me that people need to learn how to take a joke. Whatever. People do like

jokes, actually they like them an awful lot. People don’t like your impolite jokes because you’re just being a jerk and obnoxious. #MakeNiceCoolAgain2016

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
