Why Adulting Is Actually The Worst

6 things no one prepared me for

Why Adulting Is Actually The Worst
Explosion

I feel like there is that certain age where life just smacks you right in the face (although this has happened multiple times in my short time on Earth). I can truly and honestly say that age 25 has been one of the best years yet. I'm engaged to an amazing man, I graduated college, we're house-hunting and will be getting married in 6 short months! With this said, there are so many things that no one prepared me for! Adult-ing is hard. Bottom line. It sucks sometimes. Here's my list of all the adult things that no one prepared me for.

Filling out a W-2

True story, I had to text my mom a few weeks ago because I had zero idea what to put. Not even a clue.

You are now the "adult" when you're out

You all know what I mean. Even though we all loved vacations without our parents, having an actual adult with you, is comforting...I don't provide much comfort to myself on vacation.

You get paid and still have no money

I don't know, I don't understand it either.

Health Insurance

Who decided 26 was the age of an "adult"? Yeah. You suck.

Buying a House

My fiancé and I have not officially done this yet, but we have started the process and it's literally the worst. There is nothing fun about it. I want my mom to do it and just let me know when I can move in.

Living at Home

I feel like there should be an exception to having to "adult". If you still live at home, disregard everything stated above.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
