Why I Admire Youtuber JeffreyFever
JeffreyFever

There are millions of Youtubers.

Only a few stand out like Ryan Higa, Pewdiepie, Lilly Singh, Tyler Oakley, and a few more.

However, recently, I discovered a new Youtuber: Jeffrey Fever. To me, he stands out the most out of all of the Youtubers. What makes him unique is that JeffreyFever reminds me of Walt Disney because just like Walt Disney, JeffreyFever started from rock bottom.

JeffreyFever, a.k.a. Jeffrey Chang, shares his life story in his recent video, "Draw My Life". Jeffrey reveals how bullies changed his life. As the only Asian in a Caucasian school, he was constantly picked on towards the point that his self-confidence lowered and he began to bully others just to fit in. Eventually, he finally realized what he had become.

Additionally, as a child, he was constantly compared with his perfect sister. Him, on the other hand, was not so perfect. He didn't maintain perfect grades nor did he have much talent in anything, except for singing and dancing. He mentions that he dropped out of college to focus on becoming a full-time Youtuber. Also he didn't really find a reason to stay in college. Many people criticized him for his risk: his friends, family, and even teachers (his family eventually respected his decision, especially his father). But his determination kept him going.

Although there were many hardships in his life, I'd say the highlight of his life was getting noticed by Kevin and actually getting a chance to work with Ryan Higa, mainly because Kevin and Ryan inspired Jeffrey to become a Youtuber. He wanted to make other people laugh.

Honestly, this video inspired me. He made me realize how much in my life I should cherish. He told me that not everyone has it the best. He showed me that anyone can get through any hardship with determination.

However, this video is not the only reason why I am totally smitten with Jeffrey Chang and his videos. The main reason as to why I admire his videos and him is that I can relate to most of his videos. To those who are unfamiliar with JeffreyFever, he usually shares his own stories like how he discovered K-pop, having a sister, and more. His videos provide a sense of seriousness yet also humor. To describe in detail, Jeffrey treats Youtube as his own diary. He easily shares his own stories with us viewers in an engaging way. I'm not sure how, but Jeffrey knows how to get people's attention. He knows how to make people laugh. He makes me laugh and smile whether I'm sad, grumpy, or just in the mood to watch his videos.

To me, Jeffrey Chang is one of my role models. He's shown me that everyone goes through hardships in their lives. And in the end, they come out at the top.

So to those who are seeking for an inspirational yet humorous Youtuber, I recommend you to go suscribe to his Youtube channel: JeffreyFever.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
