Why Adele’s New Single ‘Hello’ Is Heart Crushingly Perfect

Yep, this song even has you missing that person you made eye contact with a couple years ago on the street.

Why Adele’s New Single ‘Hello’ Is Heart Crushingly Perfect

Released on Friday October 23, it has been more than four years since Adele's last released album 21 which won 6 Grammys.

She’s back.

The much anticipated single has already hit over 50 million views on YouTube (safe to say it will reach double by the time this is published) and is exquisitely beautiful. While her song resembles her previous album about heartbreak, she has made a comeback with a sense of maturity and self forgiveness.

The songs powerful lyrics starts out with “Hello it’s me” and builds up to a chilling “Hello from the other side, I must’ve called a thousand times.” The haunting melody given off portrays that Adele's heart still aches about someone who tore her apart while trying to find this never-ending closure. Even if you’ve never had a relationship, this song will be giving you the feels when you hear her eerie ballad incorporated with booming vocals. The only downfall of this song (I am sure many of you can relate to) is that the vocal range is a bit out of my league. Hearing me sing this sounds like a dying frog.

So why is everyone freaking out about this song? Is it because it’s been four years since a new release from her? Or because this song brings a much needed breath of fresh air to pop music? Personally for me, her new single is like cheese curds. I should have never let them into my life but now that I have-it is painfully amazing. This is the kind of song that will never be deleted off your playlist. The type of song that brings you back to a point in time when you said goodbye to someone. Rarely does a four minute song give me chills, congrats Adele, you proved me wrong.

Even famous people are going crazy over her new single including other singers.

Emma Watson tweeted this to show her fans how much she loved the song.

As well as Kate Hudson (this picture actually makes me really sad, sorry readers).

Oh and the emotionally unavailable...

A couple tips if you’ve never heard her song before.

1.Be alone. (You might tear up a little...or a lot)

2. Have ice cream with you. (depressing song=good food to make you happy again)

3. Do not text your ex (She's famous. That's the only reason she could call her ex a thousand times. Don't take this verse to heart.)

If you haven’t already heard or seen the song or want to listen it for the 100th time again. Here it is:

Thanks to this song, I forgive Adele for not releasing new music since 2011. I would not be surprised if her new album 25 has people calling their therapists around the world. heart attacks around the world with it's release date on November 20th.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
