Who Will Win "Big Brother"?

My thoughts about the houseguests from Big Brother Season 19

I've been watching "Big Brother" every summer since season 12! The show is about 16 people living in a house for the summer and one gets evicted each week until there are only two standing. The winner gets $500,000, and the runner-up gets $50,000.

Each week they do awesome competitions, and, of course, there is a little drama. I always have a favorite house guest from each season like Dan, Will and Britney. This season is no different because I definitely have a few favorites in the house right now.

If you haven't been watching, season 19 has been the "summer of temptation". "Big Brother" always surprises me, but, of course they do, their motto is "expect the unexpected".

Keep on reading to find out the down low on this season's house guests!

1. Ramses

I actually really like Ramses, he minds his own business. I screamed when he didn't go along with Paul's plan for the POV. Ramses definitely plays dumb in the house a majority of the time, which is a smart move. He's currently on the block, but let's hope he somehow doesn't go home this week.

2. Kevin

Kevin is exactly how I think my own dad would be in the house. He's not a regular dad; he's a cool dad. Being from Boston, he has that strong accent and makes the rest of the cast laugh on a daily basis. I don't think he's on anyone's radar as of right now. He was able to get himself $25,000 the very first day, which is pretty good.

3. Josh

The first night of feeds Josh was crying his eyes out, and I felt so bad for him. I feel like if I was on the show, it could be very overwhelming for me so I related to him. He has gotten much more comfortable in the house and is great entertainment by calling everyone "a meatball". He also tells it how it is and keeps it straight with everyone.

4. Cody

I do not like Cody at all as a player. As a person, he seems intense but alright. "CBS" has fun with his "murder stares" and putting various scary sound effects when he appears. I didn't like that BB rigged his come back. However, I think that he is the only one not under Paul's spell, so good for him.

5. Megan

Megan didn't stay in the house for long but I was sad to see her go, especially because I respect her. The fact that she got bullied out of the house for saying one statement that she misheard from Jessica broke my heart. She was wrong, and she apologized, but everyone went after her for no reason. I hope she gets a second chance in another season.

6. Cameron

Cameron also didn't stay in the house long and I was upset about that too. Here we have a super fan, who the house didn't like off the bat. His whole dream was crushed after he was evicted the very first night in the house. He beat Dominique and Jillian to get back in the house but was ultimately defeated by Cody. I hope he also gets a second chance in a different season because he deserves it.

Mark

Mark is known as Johnny Bravo because of his super muscular physique. I admire it on a daily basis and I love how sensitive he is. I also feel like he can beat anyone in a competition and is weirdly always one of the first people out. I hope to see him in the top three at least.

Jillian

Jillian puts all her trust in a bunch of people that are not there for her. She could have gone really far if she actually tried to stay. I was also rooting for her in the battle back.

Paul

I really loved Paul and Victor last season. He seems a lot louder this season but he is extremely smart. I didn't like that BB gave him a random temptation where he was safe for the first three weeks, but I feel like he will at least make it to the jury. He keeps the house entertaining on a daily basis so that's a plus.

Elena

Elena is always saying something inappropriate and it's hilarious. She is in a "showmance" with Mark but is always rubbing on Paul and Christmas. She can definitely hold her own in competitions so I hope that she gets far in the game.

Alex

Alex is a straight up bad a**. Since day one she has not let any guy do anything for her. She told Cody right to his face that she didn't need him to win. She knows what she needs to do with her team to get to the top but she can also hold her own in competitions. Right now she's playing dumb and following around Paul but I hope she turns on him soon.

Jason

Jason is a rodeo clown so of course, he's super entertaining. He might be loud in the morning, but the house is always laughing when he's around. He doesn't seem like he's on anyone's radar at the moment and has won POV. I think he can get far in the game.

Jessica

Jessica was alright the first couple days in the house. Then she got very needy with Cody and depended on him for everything. When he left, I liked her a lot better because she was becoming more independent. Now that he's back she's back to relying on him and it's the most annoying thing ever. She also treats the HG's like they are below her. Nope, not a fan.

Dominique

Dominique just got evicted and I'm very upset about it. She made this "talk show" every Sunday night where she would talk to the nominees on the block. It was pretty interesting to all the HG's until she started getting a little too personal. They basically shunned her from then on and she was evicted unanimously. I was rooting for her in the battle back but she was defeated by Cameron and Cody.

Raven

Raven is battling a disease called gastroparesis which apparently attacks her stomach. She has gotten over $20,000 in her gofundme after the viewers found out about it. Some people think she is lying about how debilitating the disease actually is, but I still feel bad for her regardless. Anyone that is fighting any disease and cannot function like a normal human being deserves to have compassion. She is just a southern bell that loves life, everyone should leave her alone.

Matt

Some people think that Matt is boring, but I think he's just not problematic. He may only have two shirts but he loves cereal and he's adorable. He's another one that looks like he could be really good at competitions but strangely isn't. Matt and Raven are doing well with staying low for the time being.

Christmas

Poor Christmas is such a bada** but she broke her leg a couple weeks ago running around with Jason. She has had surgery but I admire her persistence. I feel like if it was me that happened to I would have been out of the house by now. She can't even play in a lot of the comps but she stays safe. I hope she gets far.

My projected winners are Alex, Kevin, Mark, or Paul.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
