As "Bachelor In Paradise" is coming to an end, there's a lot of speculation about who the next bachelor will be. Will it be someone from Rachel's season of "The Bachelorette"? Or will it be a fan favorite from a past season? While we won't know till after "Bachelor In Paradise" ends, here is my list of who I think should and shouldn't be the next Bachelor.
Should
1. Eric Bigger
Eric was the third runner up on Rachel's season and he's a great guy! On the show, you can see how sweet and caring he is. He's also very calm and collected and I think he would treat the ladies on the show the way they deserve to be treated! Even though he hasn't been in love before I think he deserves another shot to find love on the show.
2. Ben Zorn
Ben Z was on "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor In Paradise". He is smoking hot due to becoming a body builder after "The Bachelorette" and he's a devoted dog dad. On BIP he gushes about his dog every chance he gets. While some people may think this is weird or annoying I think it's super cute. If he can gush about his dog in that way, imagine being his girlfriend? It doesn't look like he's finding love in paradise so if it doesn't work out for him there I think he would be the perfect option for the next Bachelor!
3. Alex Woytkiw
Alex was also on "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor In Paradise". He is super good looking and as everyone saw in paradise is that if he is interested he makes it known and goes for it which is why I think he would be a great bachelor!
4. Nick Viall
While some people may think this would be overkill since he was on "The Bachelorette" twice, on BIP, and was on "The Bachelor", I still think he would make a great bachelor. Maybe not this season since he and Vanessa just broke up but I would love to see him on the show again at some point. He truly wants love and I think that's enough to give him another chance.
5. Demario Jackson
Ok I know you're probably confused at this one. Demario was the guy who came on Rachel's show supposedly having a girlfriend and then was involved in all of the drama that put BIP on hold. But we don't always see the truth when it comes to reality TV and I truly think Demario deserves another shot to find love since his in paradise was ruined when he did nothing wrong. I also think with his personality the show would be super entertaining and would easily be a fantastic season.
Shouldn't
1. Peter Kraus
I know Peter is the fan favorite from Rachel's season but if I'm being honest, he reminds me of the guys that I know that are afraid of commitment. I'm not saying Peter is a bad guy for not wanting to propose to someone he barely knows but he knew what he was getting into when he went on the show so I don't know how much I believe his reasoning. Especially after Rachel said there was a bunch of back and forth and that he was manipulative. He sounds like a bad boyfriend to me rather than someone thinking they don't know someone well enough. Due to this, I think he shouldn't be the next Bachelor. Clearly, the process just isn't for him and since we know that it should go to someone that is ready for that kind of process.
2. Dean Unglert
I know Dean might be dreamy but he was a total jerk on BIP. I understand keeping your options open and not wanting to settle down right away but the way he led Kristina and Dlo on was not okay. If he can't handle two girls, what's going to happen when he has more than two on his plate? He clearly isn't mature enough to be the Bachelor quite yet.
3. Ben Higgins
After Ben and Lauren broke up, a lot of people started saying he should be the next Bachelor. But if I am being honest, after I watched him and Lauren's reality TV show, I'm not quite sure he's the most deserving. I understand not wanting to rush into marriage but during their Freeform show, Lauren seemed a lot more invested in Ben than he was with her. If Ben wasn't ready to marry someone he proposed to, why would he be ready to go on the show and propose to someone new? No one deserves to be engaged to someone who doesn't seem like they want to get married to them. Maybe once he gets over Lauren and matures a little, he'd be a good option but right now I'm just not seeing it.
4. Matt Munson
Matt was on Rachel's season and on BIP this summer. He ended up in a love triangle with two women on BIP but the way he treated Jasmine was honestly not cool. He never took her feelings into consideration and went on a date with another woman even though the woman he had been seeing said she didn't want him to go. He clearly clicked with other woman and I don't believe he was completely honest with Jasmine about how he felt about their relationship. Therefore I don't think he's the right person for "The Bachelor".
Who didn't make either lists that you think should have? Let me know in the comment section!
