Who Will Conquer?

A millennial view of Hillary and her emails.

Hillary Clinton’s emails are once again under investigation. Surprise, surprise. One of the things that makes me the most irritated is the people continue to defend her actions. Wake up, America!

I have heard countless excuses for Hillary emails or lack thereof. Let’s get real. This whole ordeal is the biggest scandal since Watergate, and we need to stop downplaying the extremity of it. It’s time to wake up and realize that we could potentially be electing a criminal into the most influential office in the world.

I had a stimulating conversation with one of my good friends, and although we have very different political views it really opened my eyes to the liberal justification of Hillary and her “issues.”

“Hillary didn’t know the server was classified and it was most likely an accident.”

How is this even a possibility? Sure, maybe she didn’t know that the emails were classified. Why, then, would we hand her the controls of our country, and lives, if she doesn’t know “C” means classified?!?

Even if by some chance she did not know the email server was private and she “accidentally” deleted 30,000 emails, she is still a criminal. If someone accidentally killed someone in a car accident, they would be facing charges. If someone accidentally missed curfew as a kid, they could face jail time. If someone accidentally killed someone in a burglary, they would be charged. So, why, is it okay to delete evidence, escape charges, have a case reopened, and still have the ability to run for President of the United States of America?!?

Hillary should be in jail and should definitely not be able to run for the presidency.

It is time for Hillary Clinton to take responsibility for her actions, and if she won’t, the American people need to let her know that she will not get away with the lying, the scandals, and the complete deception of the American citizens.

Now, grant it, Donald Trump may be a little outspoken, but in the past few months, he has taken the steps he needs to become a successful president. He has scaled back his vulgar comments, held his temper, and addressed important news in America.

I will not tell you who to vote for. In reality, you have probably already voted, or already know who you want to vote for. Just remember, just because there is a chance for the first woman president of the United States to be elected does not mean you are any less a supporter of women if you do not vote for Hillary. Do not let “Killary’s” lies deceive you anymore.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
