The World Health Organization has finally taken the most unlike decision by the gamers, yes they have included gaming disorder in the list of diseases which needs to be treated properly.

WHO says, "People with the condition could see "significant impairment" in their personal and professional lives". According to the new list released by WHO in which every disease is listed, now you will see a new category naming, Gaming Disorder. A further addition to that, WHO quoted this condition as a "pattern of persistent or recurrent gaming behavior" either online or offline.

The description of the "Gaming Disorder: is further explained in points below.

1) The person suffering from this diseases doesn't have control over gaming.

2) People suffering from this tends to give more priority to the gaming as compared to their real-life matters.

3) Continuous involving in the gaming activities leaving all the thoughts of mental illness or health exploitation.

The victim suffering from this disorder forget about everything related to real life relations and get easily angry at small things. They stated ti feel alone and slowly this disease breaks them completely from inside as well as physically leaving them no choice rather play more and more.

WHO also has a listing for "hazardous gaming" quoting to which the organization says "refers to a pattern of gaming, either online or offline that appreciably increases the risk of harmful physical or mental health consequences to the individual or to others around this individual.

After the statement being released by the official, the gaming communities started to respond and it was not very good, they all were literally against the statement and moreover putting WHO verdict in question.

Why is gaming disorder being included in ICD-11?

This decision is taken by WHO checking the reviews from the expert doctors. According to the listed document, the person suffering from "Gaming Disorder" has to be given a proper treatment program and after a particular interval of time, they all will be thoroughly checked for the symptoms, if it persists, then they have to go back to the treatment again.

Dr. Richard, the famous lead technology addiction specialist welcome the decision from the authorities to recognize this disease after a long time.

Phillip Lyons, the owner of the famous gaming blog conclude the sentence of the WHO said, It is okay, but yes in these days of 21st century kids are more tend to play online games, even you can find the digital version of every game which we used to play outdoor in old times, that's the main reason, this disease is evolving in youth. We have to ask our children to play more outdoor games.

Should all Gamers need to Worry about It?

No, all gamers shouldn't worry about this, as this disease is specific to only those ones who don't have enough control over their playing routine. You often find that kind of gamers full of angriness and cut off from the real life and real people, they are most unlikely to go anywhere in social gatherings and parties. This disease is 100% curable, the only thing you have to do is to put control over your gaming activities.
