"OH. MY. GOSH. THIS IS MY SONG!!!!"
If you are a "white girl", these words have left your mouth at least once in your life. For me, it's almost a daily basis (no shame).
I have decided to compile a list of "White Girl Anthems," which are songs that (for the most part) every white girl loves deep down. Don't try to deny it, ladies. At least one of these songs is your anthem. Embrace it.
1) "Country Girl, Shake it for Me" - Luke Bryan
This song convinces me I'm a country girl every time I listen to it, even though I'm from the 4th largest city in the United States.
2) "A Thousand Miles" - Vanessa Carlton
I too would like to ride a piano a thousand miles, Vanessa Carlton.
I will never NOT get excited when I hear this one in particular.
If anyone wants to explain to me what's going on in this music video, I would appreciate it.
5) "Everytime We Touch" - Cascada
You're lying if you say you've never interpretive danced to this song with a friend.
6) "Cruise" - Florida Georgia Line
Ladies, please do not get into a stranger's truck. Especially, if he tells you that you make him want to cruise.
7) "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" - Beyoncé
Inspiring instagram caption for the newly engaged for years to come.
8) "Sk8er Boi" - Avril Lavigne
I think we all secretly wanted a sk8er boi in our life.
9) "I Want it that Way" - Backstreet Boys
Possibly the best example of the 90s in one music video.
10) "Good Girls Go Bad" - Cobra Starship ft. Leighton Meester
I was too obsessed with Leighton Meester to ever notice that their party goes down in a meat locker.
11) "Sweet Home Alabama" - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Can't fight it; won't deny it. This is literally my jam.
12) "Summertime Sadness" - Lana del Rey
I think every white girl wishes she was Lana at one time or another.
Honorable Mention:
"#WhiteGirlProblems" - Hoodie Allen
It may not be a white girl anthem, but it's my white girl anthem.
