If you are at a school like Virginia Tech fall break was just a tease. Having only a Friday off made it not so much of a break. Many people do not have class on Fridays, anyway, so it was not that different from a normal week, but we should be thankful for what we got.
Having a long weekend was nice for getting away from Blacksburg or taking some time to relax without work, but it left some people even more tired from all the driving and traveling.
Now, the countdown begins for Thanksgiving where we get a week off to relax and stuff our faces. At a perfect time in the semester, it is so important to stop and truly think about all the things that we are thankful for.
The semester is starting to take a toll on some people, right about now, with the tests, papers, and projects piling on. However, we all now that there is an end to that tunnel at the end of the semester. When we get to Thanksgiving break and, eventually, winter break we are free to take a real break and have a vacation free of stress -- unless you are taking winter classes. If you are taking winter classes, then it is a whole different story and the cycle begins again.
