When you're part of a crowd, you're part of a mesh of different personalities, different opinions, different experiences, yet common interests in maintaining the lifelong friendship you've created as a group. You got the smart one, the funny one, the partier and the Netflix binger. There are endless categories of friend which anyone can fall under. You got the motivated, the dedicated and those that are passive participants in life. Then, there is me— the food lover. I love food like, I love food more than anything. I would say I love food like Flynn Ryder's infatuation with Rapunzel. If a cheeseburger were trapped in a tower, I would risk my life to save it.
It gives me life, literally.
Here are some habits of mine that I may or may not be proud of:
I have accepted that I am the way I am. But this literally happened to me.
I have a bad habit of not being a very good sharer. The other day I bought a bag of Funyun's to share with a friend. About five minutes later, he looks up at me with such disdain, and tells me that I ate them all before he could get any. Oops.
When I ask if I could have one of something, or a small piece, don't trust me, I usually proceed to eat the remainder of your food.
I like to live my life with one motto, and one motto only. People who eat salad are sad people.
I select my outfit for the day based on the meals I am going to eat. Oh, it's cheeseburger day, where them sweatpants at?
Don't let me fool you, I can eat with the best of them.
This past week, my roommate and I were in the library. She, then, proceeds to pull out a Nutrigrain bar from her backpack. I hear the package rustle, and it gives me the chills. I am kind, of course, so I let her take the first few bites. I look over, all sweet, and say, "Can I have a piece?" I take one piece, look back over and ask, "Ya know, can I just have the rest?"
I don't discriminate. Cheese, pepperoni, I love it all.
Free food? Is that even a question? *Gets back in line, pretends to be someone else*
You give me life. I have never doubted you. You taught me how to love again.
Life is too short, eat the food.
