As I sit here at this beautiful lake watching the sun rise, after a night of realizing the blessings and miracles of the Lord, I reflect on my own blessings and how many I have received in my short lifetime.
I thank God for every day, for EVERY DAY is such a blessing. Every good thing I have comes from God. Every good thing you have comes from God. Even the littlest things that you may not notice throughout the day are blessings that add up.
Learning to count your blessings is a blessing in itself. Once you can see all of the good things around you, it's truly difficult to live a half-empty kinda life. Life is such a wonderful gift, and there are so many perks to knowing your blessings when you see them- big or small.
Have faith the Lord will provide you with blessings; you will receive. I believe that God LOVES handing out blessings, having faith and talking to Him makes blessings come easy (some may be a blessing in disguise, but you'll see it at a later time). That brings me to my next point...
Blessings in disguises are just as special, if not more special. These awesome things usually lead to something bigger and better. Whenever something happens to you, and you don't know if you can get through it, coming out of it can feel like such a miracle. The part after the tragedy can help you gain either strength, gratitude, or overall trust and a relationship with another human being and also the Lord.
Once you recognize your blessings, value them. When a blessing is given, value it. Be thankful for it. Realize how important it is to you. Know that you were picked out especially for this blessing. Valuing can build a relationship. It can build enjoyment out of life.
Love your life and your blessings.
Learn a lesson from each blessing given to you.
Nothing comes from you, it comes from the Lord. God made sure this blessing was placed on your life, and he can make sure it's taken out of it too. Be full of praises to only Him, know where your blessings come from, and be a strong and gracious recipient of things given to you.
