Life is a crazy thing that is full of up and downs and twist and turns. Usually nothing pans out the way that you would like, and you are left feeling down and disappointed about things that you had planned but had never happened. A lot of people have this set plan for their life. Starting from where they go to college and what degree they get, which leads to deciding where they want to work full time, where they want to live, who they want to marry, and finally when they want to have kids. But is having a set plan the best thing to do? What happens if your plan goes awry?
I think the best thing about life is that you have so many opportunities and so many options that you might not even know are out there until you are experiencing them. Why sell yourself short?
Now I am not saying to get rid of a plan all together, but I am saying that if your plan deviates from its original path, do not get upset. Embrace it, because obviously life had something way better in store for you. Sometimes when you least expect something, it can result in an even better experience.
You may have really wanted one job and were offered another. This new job can be with a company you may have never heard of, but will soon become a place you grow to love. This job will not only provide you with financial security, but it can give you some of the best friends as long as you are open minded to the new experience.
Other times it might be your true love. In your plan, you might have set your mind to what kind of person you want in your life. Whether this person be intelligent, have certain physical features, or the funniest kid you know, you have it all imagined in your head. But sometimes, you find someone else in a moment when you least expect it. Your plan changes, but you discover a love that you also never knew existed.
In life you cannot always plan out everything because sometimes life likes to throw you curve balls that result you could of never expected. Don't miss out on something incredible because you were so set on a certain thing happening. Having a plan is okay and gives you some direction of what you want to do, but also learn how to go with the flow and accept things as they come. Remember, life goes on and sometimes you just have to roll with it.
