When We Fall

Trusting In God During A Hard Time.

When We Fall
Meghan Telpner

We all have been there..Done something we should not have done. Not used common sense or any thought. The impulse reaction. Then facing the repercussions of that action either at work, life, with family etc. While waiting all those's feelings from anger, anxiety to just total kicking your own butt for doing it and wallowing in self pity.

Being a Christian I was in this situation recently and prayed. I woke up to an answer that let me write this article. Being a Godly person in a ungodly world is tough. When we fall we get scared. We try to lie to lessen the blow at work or in our life. We do irrational things after words. That is what happens and it is what the devil wants that attention to be focused on what happen and be swallowed up by it. Being swallowed up makes us sin and distracts us from God. What I found out this morning was a draw to the word. Opening up a reading plan that put me to Numbers 3 and 4. After reading this I found something that put me at ease. Understanding the "unauthorized fire..." that was spoken which led to the death of Aron's two sons ( he had four). Why they died was living a sinful life. Letting sin take over them. This does not mean you will died if you fell off the wagon either. Later on in the day I got a thank you note that help reinforce the point of getting back up after something stupid which I will share.

Romans 12:1- Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will (NIV).

God is telling us to go into the world and let God work in us. Let us not be afraid. And when we fall, do something stupid or mess up God is testing us. Do we give in to the sin and continue or do we face God, be on our knees and pray. Let him show us the plan. A true measure of a faithful man is to get back up and continue to walk and trust God after something minor or major. Never giving Satan the victory;Because when we do he is smirking in delight.

So when you fall. As brothers and sisters we must turn to him and keep that focus on his plan. Through trials and tribulations we become better Christians. Our actions will speak louder in these times. Remember through God all things are possible even when you think nothing you do will help you. Don't back down, get up and keep walking.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
