When I Was Little...

When I was little lots of things were different. The world was a totally different place. The world was smaller and the only worry was who I was going to sit with at lunch. When I was little, I didn't have a care in the world. It was a simple time.

When I was little...

My best friends were my cool neighbors. They were always there to play with me. Now, I need to drive to my friends' houses. How inconvenient.

When I was little...

My only worries about school were if I could remember my spelling words like chair, shirt and pencil. Now, I'm worried about if I should take 15 or 18 credit hours next semester.

When I was little...

Disney movies gave me life. True love was going to happen to me when I got into high school. Now reality has hit me. Nothing like that is legitimate. Totally unrealistic.

When I was little...

Halloween was a time I could be anything I wanted. Nowadays, I have to worry about if it's funny enough or if it's too slutty or too revealing.

When I was little...

I had so many friends. Now, all I have is a few real friends and the TV show, "Friends. "That counts for something, right?

When I was little...

Everything was different. I lived in a different world. Crazy how somethings can change, and how fast they change.

Sometimes, I wish I could go back to the time when I was worried about what color crayon to use next, but then I realize we all have to grow up sometime, right?

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
