8 Thoughts You Have When People Ask What You Are Going to Major In

College is a good experience, right? Then why is it so stressful trying to figure out what I want to do?

8 Thoughts You Have When People Ask What You Are Going to Major In

As if high school wasn't stressful enough, people think it is totally acceptable to ask you about your future. When you're a Senior or even a Junior in high school, people automatically start talking about college applications and what schools you are looking at. The worst part, though, is when they ask you what you want to major in. At that moment, a billion thoughts go in your head.

Yup. Don't stress too much about this, though.

2. What am I even doing with my life right now?

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F10%2F27%2F636131907026476144493887885_636131904430846545-1404745821_giphy.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=349&h=0eea57c733798875a4a24898809bdd5273842f0281c191854793b1b5e3e0914b&size=980x&c=1478669359 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F10%252F27%252F636131907026476144493887885_636131904430846545-1404745821_giphy.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D349%26h%3D0eea57c733798875a4a24898809bdd5273842f0281c191854793b1b5e3e0914b%26size%3D980x%26c%3D1478669359%22%7D" expand=1]

Don't worry. We don't know what we're doing with our lives either.

3. Am I even going to go to college?

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F10%2F27%2F636131908150242974-786854138_200.gif%2336&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=441&h=e40492edbe14e92685544ff4b36d5671126c559311bca2398d4b68cfb228e5e2&size=980x&c=3328371463 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F10%252F27%252F636131908150242974-786854138_200.gif%252336%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D441%26h%3De40492edbe14e92685544ff4b36d5671126c559311bca2398d4b68cfb228e5e2%26size%3D980x%26c%3D3328371463%22%7D" expand=1]

I mean, not everyone goes to college and that's cool but don't psych yourself out, okay?

4. Okay, just smile and pretend you know what you're gonna do.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F10%2F27%2F636131910320272857-1089378800_200w.gif%2382&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=376&h=fa64681caeb5b0ea5869846a1745ef28b6054918858d1332e7ab13253eb9c45f&size=980x&c=3077331772 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F10%252F27%252F636131910320272857-1089378800_200w.gif%252382%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D376%26h%3Dfa64681caeb5b0ea5869846a1745ef28b6054918858d1332e7ab13253eb9c45f%26size%3D980x%26c%3D3077331772%22%7D" expand=1]

You know what? Not everybody needs to know what you're really gonna do anyway.

5. I still have another few months, right? Yeah, I have time to think.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F10%2F27%2F636131912621077076-1184438986_200.gif%23130&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=380&h=69cf4318efa08e9f20d845ff23690167593aaa166d46ccdc1feb4f1f17348db9&size=980x&c=66167204 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F10%252F27%252F636131912621077076-1184438986_200.gif%2523130%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D380%26h%3D69cf4318efa08e9f20d845ff23690167593aaa166d46ccdc1feb4f1f17348db9%26size%3D980x%26c%3D66167204%22%7D" expand=1]

No rush, honey. No rush.

6. It's all good. It's okay. College is going to be fine. I'll figure it out in college.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F10%2F27%2F636131914298288581-514043278_200.gif%238&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=708&h=b65d8427dfd448258dfa88757407440087ffbe30ef94d73f00ab8ea7ddc4f3a8&size=980x&c=3286199397 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F10%252F27%252F636131914298288581-514043278_200.gif%25238%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D708%26h%3Db65d8427dfd448258dfa88757407440087ffbe30ef94d73f00ab8ea7ddc4f3a8%26size%3D980x%26c%3D3286199397%22%7D" expand=1]

Most college students don't figure out their majors until two years in anyway. You're fine. Calm down.

7. Just tell them the truth. I can do it. I don't know what I'm gonna do but that's okay. I'll just tell them I don't know. Okay, good plan.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F10%2F27%2F636131916324914647888225893_200.gif%2310&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=339&h=55f6f6ee8009b7dbf579c08435604797781f44f6fed67f0904d7041522e87fd1&size=980x&c=510056232 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F10%252F27%252F636131916324914647888225893_200.gif%252310%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D339%26h%3D55f6f6ee8009b7dbf579c08435604797781f44f6fed67f0904d7041522e87fd1%26size%3D980x%26c%3D510056232%22%7D" expand=1]

You got this.

8. College is going to be fun.

It's going to be full of kicks and giggles.

No matter what you go into, you are going to be awesome. You got this. You're cool. It's gonna be the best time of your life. At least that's what they tell me. Good luck.

1. Why is Wilson Hall so complicated to navigate? Even as a senior, I still get lost in Wilson. As a freshman, I was warned about the unnecessary complexity of the building, was laughed at by upperclassman for my confused looks on the first day of school and walked and rewalked the whole hall before finding my classroom. #annoying.

America's biggest party schools

These are known for their lively party scenes

America's biggest party schools
Determining which schools are the biggest party schools is often subjective, but a some statistical factors you could use to make a judgement include (1) consumption, (2) drug usage, (3) strong greek life presence, (4) campus police records etc.

When a student at Auburn was recently asked, she explained: "These schools usually have, like, a super vibrant social scene, lots of Greek life (like my amazing sorority, duh!), and tons of exciting events happening all the time. I mean, we're talking about tailgates, themed parties, mixers with fraternities, and just, like, so much fun. But don't get me wrong, we still, like, study and go to class and all that. It's just that at a party school, the social life and having a good time are, like, major priorities for students."
