When Love Speaks The Loudest

It's not always found in the ways you think

Love speaks in many forms. Many of which we don't recognize until it's much too late. Love is often silent, quiet, implicit and confusing. That's why so many of us don't see it as it stands right in front of us. There are so many ways in which we've been shown that we are loved, we don't stop to consider it anymore. And the more I stop to think, the more of it I can see. So when does love speak the loudest? Surely it has to be different for everyone. But for me, this is when it speaks the loudest to me:

Love speaks the loudest when you say you're tired and are going to bed and you're offered a cup of tea to help relax.

Love speaks the loudest when after a long day at work, we can still watch I Love Lucy together, even if we fall sleep during it.

Love speaks the loudest when you've had a bad day, and hugs make it all better.

Love speaks the loudest when told to drive carefully to work, and receive a text once you get there.

Love speaks the loudest when you try to hide the fact that you've had a bad day, and they can always tell.

Love speaks the loudest when you find your favorite snack waiting for you in the refrigerator, or on the kitchen table.

Love speaks the loudest when you look in your room and find the dried up roses from each month spent together, and you realize how delicate life is.

Love speaks the loudest when coming home to a warm welcome all the time.

Love speaks the loudest when you look at the circular together and make going grocery shopping a mission.

Love speaks the loudest when you make fun of the same people together.

Look speaks the loudest when you're laughing amongst the people you love.

Love speaks the loudest when you let them know that you're leaving work and get a text that says "be careful!"

Love speaks the loudest when they always have a Listerine strip to give you without you asking.

Love speaks the loudest when they say "I saw this and thought of you."

Love speaks the loudest when you hear them tell you that they miss you.

Love speaks the loudest, sometimes, in 3 little words. Never said too much. But always said just enough and exactly when you need to hear it.

Truth be told, I found love in so many different forms and see how differently it can be expressing between people. Love is there if you wanted to be, and quite frankly, you can also be there when you don't wanted to be. You just have to make sure you're not too busy in life see it. Take the time to check between seconds of your life - you never know what you might find.

I'm blessed to have all the love I do. Thank you to all the special people in my life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
