When To Let Go
hdimagesnew.com

The beginning of everything is always exciting and new. You get that feeling a young kid gets when they learn how to ride a bike… scared, but reckless. Falling in love feels exactly like that. It feels amazing, but on the inside you are absolutely terrified. What are you really scared of? Rejection? Unfaithfulness? Not sharing mutual feelings?

Instead of fearing it, you go for it full throttle. You give it all your time and effort, because maybe, just maybe this one is different than the last. You hope and pray that you found the one that is going to stay. The one who will sweep you dead off your feet and never drop you.

Instead of all the beautiful flowers and cliché messages all you got was heartache and disappointment. That “one” you fell heads over heals for changed their mind and has left you insecure and confused.

This is when you look at yourself in the mirror and say over and over again that you deserve someone who will give you the entire universe and not think twice about it. Let me tell you how much you are worth it. How you deserve so much more than just the universe. One day you will find that special someone that sees how worth it you really are.

Make a promise to yourself that you will let go when that little voice in your head says this situation is not right. Let go when you start questioning yourself. Most importantly, promise yourself that you will let go the very first night you cry yourself to sleep over the “one”, because let me tell you that the “one” will not let you go to sleep upset or mad. I promise you that it will never go away and when you have the wrong person in your life that you will not give up even after all the signs; God will allow this person to continue to hurt you until you realize. You are stronger than any of that, and until you see that all that you need to know is that…

You are Beautiful and you are worth it.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
