With life getting hectic, it's easy to quit. But that's just it... easy. It's easy to quit anything when it's hard. But the real challenge is staying positive and pursuing what you are doing.
Remember why you started. Did you go to college because you are so passionate about your major? Hold on to that passion. Hold on to what makes you feel alive. Don't forget about what makes you happy. Yes, school is hard most of the time. Especially when all of your classes make you want to scream. Go for a run. Go to that party. Do what makes you feel excited again. Look to the future. Look to what your major will bring you.
Most importantly, always, always try to stay positive. Life is hard. But we usually make it harder than it has to be.This also has to due with heartbreak. Yes, we have all had some form of rejection, and it hurts. Not only our soul, but our heart and mind. You can almost ask, was I ever enough? The answer is yes. You will always be enough. You weren't good for that somebody, and that's okay. We all aren't meant to be skipping through daises and standing in the sunshine all the time. We will stand in the darkness sometimes. We will be alone. And you have to be okay with this.
When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.
Sometimes, when it feels like absolutely nothing is going your way, take a break. I mean it. Seriously. Go on a long drive. Paint a picture. Do things that make you feel excited. It could be a little something, like finishing (or starting) your next book. Do something that makes you enter into another world where you don't have to think about right now.
It's important to be alone. I feel as though being alone helps you grow as a person. You are becoming aware of your insecurities, and learning how to deal with them. You become aware of what makes you sad, happy and annoyed. All of these are crucial things to be with someone else. But it is okay to be alone. Don't quit because you are alone. You never are. You have family, friends, counselors if needed. Don't be afraid to speak with someone if you are feeling this way.
It is easy to quit. But if we quit at everything we tried or gave up when life gets hard, you would never learn anything. Become a stronger person and don't give up. You have your dark points and that's okay. Just remember why you started. Remember the things that make you feel alive. Also, don't forget that even after the darkness, the sun comes out at one point. Stay positive and breathe. You can do this.
