When Enough Is Enough

As women, we expect ourselves to be heroes, and that we can fix everything and everyone. THIS JUST IN: Contrary to popular belief, we actually can't.

Not everything can be fixed, and not everyone wants to be fixed.

This is when we need to learn to let go; we need to learn that there is a point when enough is actually enough. This point is our kryptonite. We will threaten, cry, and scream until we are blue in the face, but the act of backing away from an unfinished project is petrifying to us.

We find it our responsibility to make sure those we help stay safe and make the right decisions; however, we cannot be babysitters.

Women of the world, it is time to put yourself first.

If you are not taking care of yourself it is impossible to help anyone else. It's like when you are on a plane and they say put your mask on before assisting others; that is because if you run out of oxygen while helping others you will become no good to anyone.

The most important thing about a situation like this is to not get lost in it; you still have to worry about your own well being because if someone is not trying to help themselves you can't waste your life trying to keep theirs afloat. Similar to how you feel about this person is how your loved ones are worrying about you.

So ladies, as important to us as it is to help the ones we love, there has to be a point in which we can step back and realize that we can't allow someone to impact us negatively. We can try, but they will most likely be unsuccessful keeping their heads above water.

It is okay to try and help someone, but we have to be responsible and strong enough to know when we have to put our foot down and say "enough is enough."

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
