Black Mirror is an extremely popular show on Netflix right now. Actually, it has to be the best show airing due to its thriller and science fiction qualities.

Black Mirror is a science fiction television series that focuses on the modern society and the new technologies surrounding us. Each episode consists of its own storyline and plot where it presents an alternative present or future dealing with a different technological impact. After reading all of this background information on just a science fiction television series, do you wonder, Hey, what’s the big deal?

I’ll tell you what the big deal is. At first, I didn’t really see the appeal to Black Mirror, in that there were a lot of science fiction shows that dealt with the intersection between technology and our world. However, Black Mirror is simply genius. After watching a few episodes, I have been hooked on this television series. Each episode relays a different setting and technology and really messes with my mind, in a good and thought-provoking way.

Different from other science fiction series that mostly deal with similar topics such as artificial intelligence or robots, Black Mirror delves into technology in a dark, satirical yet brilliant manner that engages the audience to be enraptured when watching, while also making them think long after the episode finishes.

One of my favorite episodes in Black Mirror is "Nosedive." "Nosedive" is an episode of Black Mirror that revolves around the intersection between social media and the lives of the people. In this episode, people rate other people that also determine their socioeconomic status.

This episode is extremely thought-provoking in that the presence of social media is so apparent in our world today. This episode, if you think about it, is not far from reality due to our reliance and judgments based solely on social media presence and popularity.

Not to spoil the plot, but in the end, the main character who is constantly judged, socially and economically, due to her social media ratings, goes crazy and out of control. This craziness of the main character portrays the simple essence of just one technology. Not just this episode, but Black Mirror overall relays a far-fetching yet realistic portrayal of our present and future.

Black Mirror is really the best television series I have ever watched. The pure brilliance of all the episodes and plots with each different view on the alternative present or future is nothing I have ever seen before. This series is so unique that I think nothing can compare to such a phenomenal television series.

What I always wonder when watching Black Mirror is who thinks of all these brilliant ideas for an alternative present or our future when dealing with the intersection between society and technology. Every time I watch an episode, Black Mirror does not fail to leave me both confused and in awe of the plot and the twists every episode has.

When thinking about starting a new series or finding something to watch on your free time, I would definitely recommend Black Mirror. Black Mirror is entertaining, thrilling, scary and confusing all at the same time.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
