On November 13, 2015, the city of Paris was attacked by what has now been provide to be a terrorist group. With the death toll rising and hundreds injured, we mourn with France.

According to the New York Times' live coverage , there were four main attacks and shootings on the streets. The first attack occurred at Bataclan Concert Hall where their were hostages being held. As a police raid was conducted, 80 people were killed. The second attack took place in a nearby restaurant. Gunmen opened fire, killing 18 people. The third attack was another shootout at a restaurant not far from the first attack. Gunmen, again, opened fire resulting in the death of 14 people and injuring many more. The fourth attack was located outside the Stade de France where two explosions were heard during a soccer match. Six other people were killed on the streets.

Under a state of emergency, national borders closed, Parisian streets are being patrolled by military troops, and citizens mourn together searching for peace. President François Hollande declared three days of mourning.

The terrorist organization ISIS is not a new concept to the world. We have known for years that this extremist group was existent and we have watched over time as their power has grown. As of Saturday, the Islamic State has taken responsibility for the attacks with France reporting three teams of ISIS coordinators acting in unison. Though there is no independent evidence that the attacks were plotted by ISIS, President Hollande has announced it to be true with no confirmation or dispute from US officials.

The Islamic State has also taken credit for the bombing in Beruit, Lebabon on Thursday, and the explosion of a Russian charter jet flying over Egypt earlier this month.

Investigations have led to a number of arrests in Brussels in connection with the attacks. The assailants themselves were killed during the attacks. Among one, a Syrian passport was found with details that the person migrated through Greece. In Germany, an investigation is being held on arrest made last week of a man who held weapons in his car and a GPS set for Paris.

Many world leaders have sent France their condolences and pledged their support against terrorism. Currently, the US will continue airstrikes in support of Syrian rebels and the Kurdish fighters. In the United States alone their will be stricter border controls, intense surveillance and increased outreach, as well as coordination with European intelligence.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
