It's back! And this season of "Grey's Anatomy" is gonna be jam-packed with even more drama! While we all wished Derek was making a come back from the dead, unfortunately, Shonda Rhimes has a few other ideas. There's so much going on this season, you'll probably need someone to push one of epi to keep your heart going!

When one of Grey Sloan's own lands in the hospital, Bailey tries to figure out what happened while the rest of the doctors jump in to help. Meredith juggles huge secrets that affect her relationships with Alex and Maggie. While Richard helps Jo with a big decision, April and Catherine clash over the new baby, on the season thirteen premiere of "Grey's Anatomy."

There's already been a bunch of rumors circling about Season 13. Is Christina Yang coming back to rejoin the other twisted sister? Is Alex Karev going to jail? Is Deluca left dead?

After doing research on the case, here's my diagnosis to some of these unanswered questions, but we never know what Shonda Rhimes has in store for us.

The return of Dr. Yang?

While the return of Christina Yang would add some juicy drama to the mix of Owen and Amelia's new marriage, fans are disappointed to learn that Sandra Oh will not be returning to the show. The return of Yang, and possibly Izzie Stevens, was hinted at during an interview with Unreality TV.

We’re gonna be spending some more time with them [original characters] to check in with where they are,” McCreary, who plays Maggie, shared. “I think we can expect to see those doctors being explored where they are in this moment, all these years later, the changes that they’ve gone through.

So who did McCreary mean when she said original characters? Meredith, Alex and Callie?

Unfortunately, Sandra Oh shot down the rumors of one of those original characters including Christina Yang in an interview with ET CANADA. "I've gotta tell you those rumors, I don't know who starts them but it really is tough. No, I have no plans to return to Grey's anytime soon." Even though we won't be seeing any more of Yang's risky cardio surgeries in the OR of Grey Sloan, it would be interesting to see what this cardio-god has been up too!

Did Karev Leave DeLuca Dead?

We all remember the iconic scene from season 12 episode 24, when Alex Karev walks into what LOOKS like Andrew DeLuca sleeping with very intoxicated Jo Wilson, after she mistakenly tells him of her abusive past relationship. The season then ended with Karev beating DeLuca's face to a pulp. So what was left of DeLuca after that?

Alex may have beaten DeLuca within an inch of his life, but DeLuca will survive — and end up with an even bigger storyline in season 13. "We're going to get to know DeLuca a lot better, who we don't know at all, and who we've just started to scratch the surface of," EP Shonda Rhimes tells me. "Now, because this thing has happened to him, he has found himself in a spotlight that he was not interested in ever being in.

So on the bright side, the extremely handsome and kind of mysterious Andrew DeLuca gets to live, and a little more about himself is revealed. But where will that leave Alex and Jo? Will Alex end up in jail? Will Jo finally tell Alex the truth about her past? There's a lot to unravel in this season.

A "Japril" Reunion?

At the end of season 12, we leave the divorced Jackson Avery and April Kepner awaiting the arrival of their new baby, although things seem to be taking a turn for the worse when April needs an emergency c-section WITHOUT an anesthesia on Meredith's kitchen table. After the successful dramatic proceeded April and her beautiful baby girl are alive and healthy. Will controversy start when April decides not to name the baby Katherine, after Jackson's mother?Where does that leave Japril? In photos leaked of season 13, Jackson and April are seen smiling and happy. Could this be the start of a Japril reunion? Here's what Entertainment Weekly had for us.

For April and Jackson, this season will explore 'in a much lighter way, what it means to be uncoupled, to be divorced, and to have a kid, and how you do that?' EP Shonda Rhimes says. 'They're going to really try to do this in a healthy way, and is that healthy way going to feel so healthy when they still have feelings for each other?'

This is giving us Japril fans a lot of hope for the couple in season thirteen!

Who's With Who?

One lasts HUGE question about season thirteen, is WHO IS WITH WHO?! When we left our beloved characters last season, Meredith was getting romantic with Owen Hunt's enemy, Nathan Riggs. HOWEVER, Maggie Pierce , Meredith's half-sister admitted to also liking Riggs. When Maggie finds out about Meredith's secret fling, the actress told TV GUIDE, she will not be happy about being kept in the dark of her sister's romance. Maggie won't be the only character unhappy though, Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen, told Entertainment Weekly:

He’s almost becoming an unofficial brother to Meredith. Derek (Patrick Dempsey) was his friend. He’ll be a bit territorial, to be honest.

So where will this leave Meredith's new romance?

That doesn't cut Arizona a break from the romance though! According to Shonda Rhimes a new love flick is coming in for her too! “I’m very excited to introduce a love interest for her, and to get to tell a story with her that lets her be who she is, and to see who she is post the relationships that she’s had,” Shonda adds. We're very excited to see who the new lady is Arizona Robbins life is!

Lastly, what is marriage going to be like for Amelia and Owen? While babies don't look like the next step in this season, Popsugar reports that this idea is not out of the question yet!

Of course, we expect the unexpected while watching Grey’s anatomy, but these are just a few things we can expect! Although, with Shonda Rhimes, we never know what's coming. Season 13 is expected to be just as dramatic as the rest, with new romances, heartbreaks, and characters building stories. “Just when we think we figured things out, the universe throws us a curveball” -Meredith Grey season 7 episode 10. Looks like Shonda will be throwing us tons of curveballs this season.
